As long as we still get to use FDRS to fix the broken Ford update process. This is first truck I've ever modified the asbuilt for a few convenience items but it's not anything I can't live without. I can see it being a major roadblock to trying to add equipment after buying truck though as you have done.If ford introduces what they have on the 23 SuperDuty there will be nothing easy about upgrades or adding things going forward.
In fact I had a thread I was going to post about the 24. I was waiting to confirm if they had it or not.
It was going to recommend that but the truck you want because the days of adding things will become A LOT more difficult.
The days of changing as built is coming to an end. Ford has added all kinds of obstacles in the 23 SD.
So be forewarned. The 24 F150 I am willing to bet will have the same thing. You will not be able to do anything without fdrs and you will not be able to do anything that doesn’t align with the truck
The comms are end to end encrypted. It’s going to be very hard. You will have to know exactly what you’re doing and if not you’ll be out whatever you spent on the module.
I have hit several road blocks on the super duty. I was able to get some things accomplished but it will be very limited.
I’ve already spoken to Forscan and they are aware of it also
