I’m really trying to live that as I build habits and methods
  2. E-450 Godzilla!

Those things are most on my mind as I drive. I’m thinking about it before we decide where we’re going lol.
  3. E-450 Godzilla!

I take it slow and easy around turns and she just manages! We took a day trip to Mt. Dora just to walk around the downtown and enjoy the day during the season. I was concerned about the narrow streets and tree branches, but we rolled in like we owned the place getting a few nods and found some...

It’s really not as big as it seems 😂
  5. EREV Hybrid F-150 Lightning Announced!

The 3.3L is a steady state rpm generator producing 50kw or so regardless of the grade. The battery handles the changing loads while the generator manages SOC.
  6. EREV Hybrid F-150 Lightning Announced!

I think the current Lightning with extended range battery is a good starting point. Curb weight approx 6,800lbs Payload approx 2,000lbs Towing approx 10,000lbs Those numbers are within striking range of the mythical Ramcharger 🤠
  7. EREV Hybrid F-150 Lightning Announced!

You’re right it was GM, but not with their Volt. GM’s Electro Motive Division EMD was highly successful with their FT Freight Locomotives. 😉
  8. EREV Hybrid F-150 Lightning Announced!

Bonus! Except PowerBoost resales may tank as well. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Oh well, perhaps we keep the PB too!
  9. EREV Hybrid F-150 Lightning Announced!

There’s a sweet spot triangle between battery capacity, generator output, and fuel tank size. I don’t know what it is, but once it’s found, it will be scalable. 3.3l for smaller applications and the 7.3l for Super Duty work. 😊
  10. EREV Hybrid F-150 Lightning Announced!

About 350lbs of generator goodness in that 3.3L 😁
  11. EREV Hybrid F-150 Lightning Announced!

Ford is going to beat Ram!!! They should troll and put RC somewhere on it 😂 Probably my next truck ☺️ Please make it flat towable and less than 7,500lbs! 😁
  12. E-450 Godzilla!

I’m still waiting on the Veritas Vans mount, but I am acquiring tools and supplies as the need arises. A little cordless Dremel for gently enlarging or making holes. Snap in grommets for the holes I make. Wago 221 lever nuts to make solid connections in tight spaces. They seem to use butt...

    And now this
  14. E-450 Godzilla!

House batt voltage input gives negotiated 20/5 100W output plus another 36W charging port 😊

Don’t forget out of lead acid battery Amp hrs!
  16. E-450 Godzilla!

    I’m thinking of using this
  17. E-450 Godzilla!

I have this mount coming from Veritas Vans, and they offer a battery pack. Might be handy if I need to move it off the roof for signal or something? Costs more than the mount, so I am passing initially. I am going to attach metal discs to the fiberglass roof with VHB and then magnet mount the mini.
  18. E-450 Godzilla!

The Starlink mini came in. I still need the 12V to USB-C PD 100W 20V/5A converter, the Starlink mini to USB-C adapter, and the roof mount. Designing and installing cool stuff is such a blast! 😊What a fun time to be alive eh?
  19. Engine Temperature During Steep Climbs

Step on the gas and destroy the mountains! Get out in the clean air 😂 Not your cup of tea? Tow/haul mode is wonderful at gear selection and minimizing turbo usage even when you’re not towing or hauling 😊
  20. E-450 Godzilla!

I found the front top portion of the wedge bed that doesn’t move has a hinge. I don’t think my fresh water tank has a separate drain. It looks to me like the blue pex is the only outlet. 🤷🏻‍♂️
