Back late 2021/early 2022 there was a lot of speculation that 2024 would be the first year of the sectioned swing gate tailgate that ford has a patent on. None seen here.
Hasn't been seen at all on any uncovered spy photos but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Having doubts but it could have been on the covered trucks and being kept hidden intentionally. I thought it was weird having all those trucks with totally covered tailgates.

As a Platinum owner, I really hate the addition of the letters on the hood. Also, surprised they ditched the tailgate applique. It has been on the Platinum since Gen 12. I also am not a fan of the 22" wheels. This basically looks like a Limited without the uber nice leather. I would not get a Platinum after refresh.

Totally agree. Everyone has a flavor they prefer and I'm sorry to Limited owners but I hate the Limited letters on the hood. This almost looks like a mish mash of things to purposely screw with people like us...
Limited rims and Limited styled hood letters, XLT tailgate and Platinum badging and word.
"Joe, go drive that around and make sure people get pictures of you...."
Those tail lights creep up so much on the side there is no room for 4x4, FX4, etc.
I'm sure I'm wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if the actual Plat release looks nothing like this.
But then again they did name their friggin SUV\crossover after a Mustang so who knows....

I don't really care for any body-attached decals / badging. Outside of the fact they're a PITA to do any kind of waxing / other body care, they're just eyesores.

We can also safely add Rapid Red to the 2024 color wheel, not that we doubted it would be there. I am sure that Agate Black, Oxford White, Rapid Red, Antimatter Blue, Carbonized Gray, Iconic Silver, Race Red, Star White will be on every Gen 14 truck. The rest may rotate.
You can add Shelter Green Metallic to the 2024 colors list as a Raptor exclusive.

The tail lights haven't grown. They're the same size and shape of the current ones. The decals already have to go past the wheel well opening a bit; the 4 in 4x4 is over the opening.

The 2024 doesn't look bad from what I've seen so far but you can tell Ford did the refresh on the cheep new bumper new headlights new grill and new taillights over all it's remarkable underwhelming.

All new headlights across all models.
The Platinum in photo doesn't have the large goofy looking amber light across the center of headlight.

The XL and Tremor photos floating around online do make it appear LED lights are standard as they are already on Maverick.

Seems to take cues from the 250 as well...

I like the hood letters 1000x better than that cheap looking tailgate applique.

It's cheaper than my XLT power boost

@Jesse-Infotainment looks like there's a lot of F150 crossover parts being utilized this year. F250 guys should have it easy street on upgrades being able to grab F150 parts. Wonder if the IPMAs are compatible.
If ford introduces what they have on the 23 SuperDuty there will be nothing easy about upgrades or adding things going forward.

In fact I had a thread I was going to post about the 24. I was waiting to confirm if they had it or not.

It was going to recommend that but the truck you want because the days of adding things will become A LOT more difficult.

The days of changing as built is coming to an end. Ford has added all kinds of obstacles in the 23 SD.

So be forewarned. The 24 F150 I am willing to bet will have the same thing. You will not be able to do anything without fdrs and you will not be able to do anything that doesn’t align with the truck

The comms are end to end encrypted. It’s going to be very hard. You will have to know exactly what you’re doing and if not you’ll be out whatever you spent on the module.

I have hit several road blocks on the super duty. I was able to get some things accomplished but it will be very limited.

I’ve already spoken to Forscan and they are aware of it also

The tacky Pep Boys aisle looking stick on tailgate bling plate I have always hated on these upper trims is gone. I wonder if that's one of the 2400 fewer parts.

How much did Ford save just from finally
Realizing after all these years that almost nobody would be upset if those disappeared.
