Oh do not get me wrong I will never purchase anything but a Ford truck, but I already regret buying the 24'. It's been problematic... it lacks options that my previous trucks had. I wish I would have purchased used instead. Dealership told me that the 22's are your best bang for your buck. I understand prices have to go up, but I feel Ford has been making some pretty poor decisions here lately.
What issues with your 24, I'm really interested. I'm not seeing any reason to wait for 25 at this point with 24 discounts showing up. Did you have service issues, what are you missing? The 23's missed a lot for sure. We had the anniversary badge to make-up for the shortfalls though ?

The 24 302a has the most base features of them yet. Granted they deleted the bed cam in 23 and only brought it back for the platinum. You also have BC standard as well.

It started with adaptive cruise control, Lane centering, pre-collision assist, and backup sensors. So when I first purchased it on the way home I was using adaptive cruise control. Out of the blue truck through a half dozen codes on the dashboard.... One after another all had to do with pre collision assist and so forth. Dealership ended up replacing a bunch of sensors and a good amount of other work. Couldn't back up without the truck wanting to lock up. That was a good one. My rear bumper and dual exhaust was extremely misaligned. Thought that would be simple. Still looks like complete garbage, but so does every truck on the lot. Apparently Ford can't align anything anymore. I was getting the missing key fob warning. That would come and go. I believe it's fixed I haven't seen it in a few weeks. We discovered that some of the major wiring harnesses under the hood weren't even latched. The newest one is when I go in reverse the truck will chime one time, but never says anything on the instrument panel. Then add the normal car play connection issues and instrument panel blacking out for no reason. And like I mentioned on another post I don't use Lane centering anymore because it's always telling me to put my hands on the wheel. I I have given up on that. But at least I didn't pay an extra $500 for a keypad ?

Yes honestly I think my truck was a good value for what I paid for it. But if you're just looking at options alone. The fact that I don't have a heated steering wheel??? My 19' XLT did. For me and I think many others it's getting extremely hard to justify the price of these trucks for what you're getting.

Dang!! Do you see one of these guys under the hood? Are these common issues in the 24's? Had no idea. I'll be checking the bumper lines when I go look. I did See some videos talking about the American flags near the AC vents were not aligned.

Definitely look it over extremely well. Also if you're on Facebook I think it's called the 24-25 F-150 page. You'll see a lot of issues posted there. I had the air conditioning problem, but that was a simple update.

Yeah, start going to a chiropractor if you're not already for the back pain.
speaking as an attorney who practiced in the area, but this is *not* legal advice!

Go to a real physician and a physical therapist, or a pain clinic with MD, DO, and therapist, and *NOT* to a chiropractor. Not only are you more likely to be in better shape at the end of treatment, they're taken *far* more seriously at settlement time, and I was able to settle higher. The medical bills are the main proxy for the injury.

Also, staying away from the chiros helps avoid back injury in general . . . left to me, they wouldn't be able to practice independently, but would need to be under the supervision of a real physician!

Expecting a new vehicle of the same year isn't going to get someone anywhere. The measure of damage is what it would cost to replace the old one.

and my condolences on the truck.

A moment of silence for the Platty ? Replacing the truck is all I'm interested in, just want to get my value back. As you stated though, its replacing a depreciated asset. I understand that for sure. But the high side of KBB sounds a lot better for replacing a truck at today's prices. They put me in a rental today. 24 XLT with PB. I miss my Platty seats but I'm digging the truck. Definitely better MPG. Think I liked my digital cluster on the 23' better ?

I was just trying to get him a replacement, but I'm sure some extra doesn't hurt :ROFLMAO:

I wish!! Would you guys wait for 25 or take the savings in 24? No guarantee 25 won't be met with deletes and issues along the way ?

So, went to check out what appeared to be the best prices I could find on the truck I wanted. Elder in Tampa. You weren't kidding about the lines on the panels, dang! Especially the hoods, they were a disaster. After seeing the 5 trucks to my liking, I passed on them all. From wobbly center consoles, issues in the leather and the body panels being all out of wack, I couldn't pull the trigger. Even with the trucks being 10k off. Don't want to spend 83k or 73k for that kind of product. Disappointed for sure. It didn't help that all these trucks were being kept in a muddy lot and brought around front. No plastic on the floorboards or anything. Just beating the hell out of brand new trucks, ugh. Now, do I role the dice on a 25 ? The 21's were the new, the 22's had it all, the 23's were good but lacking features. The 25's might be the sweet spot this time.

So, I've been told my MINT 23 Platinum with 18k miles is totaled. The sticker was $82,230. I've attached KBB. My insurance is offering $57k. We're getting very little response from Travelers, the other drivers' insurance. Travelers say they are still determining fault. FHP found her at fault and I even submitted a video that clearly shows at fault. Trying to get the value up from 57, any tips guys? I submitted my window sticker to the appraiser to ensure they included all the options.

Yup. GAP coverage and new car replacement is a must on insurance

Question, I just noticed on the 24' Platinums I'm seeing online they no longer have the dual exhaust out the back?? Looks like the Lariat has them though? Looks to be the same on the renderings for the 25's as well. I'm I seeing that right? Dang, it was great for starting the truck in the garage in the morning, exhaust out the back.
Correct. I originally ordered a '24 Lariat but ended up buying a Platinum off the lot because it was the better deal with the markdown. The one thing I preferred about the Lariat was the dual exhaust but with everything else considered it was one plus for the Lariat and everything else Platinum won me.

Man, I am so sorry about your truck. I'm glad you're ok but I can't imagine the letdown.

As far as the tailgate, I would say it would depend on how often you are up in your bed and how easy it is for you to get in and out. Me personally, I am 6' and don't have any issues with mobility. I also don't need to climb in the bed often so the tailgate step wouldn't serve much purpose for me. If any of the above were different maybe I'd have a different opinion.

However the swinging option is very handy as it's much quicker to open it, put in some groceries and close it than it would be to let down the tailgate and put it back up. I would not have paid extra for that option had I been building my truck but now that I have it, I like it.
