My 23 Platinum, not my fault :-( Sucks so bad! My truck had 18k miles, MINT! All airbags deployed, front of truck took it hard and saved me. Waiting for verdict if totaled or not. I want another Platinum. Seeing 24's pretty cheap now. 25's open for order but 3 months out for delivery.

Questions:
1) Looks like most 24's lack the tailgate step, I'm seeing only "Pro Access" tailgate on most lot models. Could I add step later? Thoughts on the Pro Access?

2) I don't see the term "multi-contour" on 24' Plat Window Stickers, most videos show they have massage though?

3) Thought on Max Recline? Do you get massage if truck has max recline?

4) Any major 24' specific issues I should know about? Had Max Tow Axle Bolt issue with my 23', only issue though. I'm an EcoBoost guy.

5) Any reason I should hold off for 25' over 24'? Seems to be no difference when building 24' on Ford site.

6) Any other major deletes on the 24'? Gonna miss my BAP Applique

Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom.

24s restored parts that were deleted on 23s. 25s have some new deletes (door keypad) and a higher price.

Can't add the traditional step to the Pro Access Tailgate. You can add the Retractable Rear Center Step to use with the PAT.

The PAT works for me. Seems like a personal preference item.

Multi-Contour, Max Recline and Massage are all on my 24 Platinum

I found that so strange that they made the keypad optional. That is such a game changing feature. I did notice on the 25 build rendering the keypad is now horizontal and above the door handle. While I like the look of it, seems a little sketchy for dealer services ?

All great information much appreciated. I actually used the step from time to time, I'll have to think about being without it. That being said, if I wait for the 25s, no guarantee they want delete other items along the way. Modern problems!

Oh, it's not optional. That's a numeric wireless keypad with battery -- basically a keyfob that requires a passkey before transmitting commands except it can't be used to start the truck/drive

You can still get a step that you can use with the PAT door open just not when the tailgate is down.

Ahhh this makes more sense now for keypad install. Seems easy to steal though.

That step looks like it would work pretty well. Can't say I ever used the retractable post handle.

According to the 2025 build configurator, the SercuriCode Keyless-Entry Keypad is a $455 option on the Platinum.

Yes, but it's not the keypad on current trucks. It's the ford wireless one available for most of the vehicles where keypads aren't included so don't think it's a replacement for what's on current trucks.

This is bonkers, it's been a staple of ford trucks for as long as I can remember. Real bad move on ford's part.

Agreed, I always said I would never have another truck without the keypad, I use it all the time. Just leaving the truck running to hit the POX and stuff. I try to keep my fob in a Faraday bag though just in case when I'm away for long times. I can't imagine paying $500 for a mighty mule (gate opener) keypad. It's basically the same thing, Ford knows we'll do it though, ugh. Seems like if the thieves can replicate our fobs, there should be an amazon solution for the truck keypads?

Question, I just noticed on the 24' Platinums I'm seeing online they no longer have the dual exhaust out the back?? Looks like the Lariat has them though? Looks to be the same on the renderings for the 25's as well. I'm I seeing that right? Dang, it was great for starting the truck in the garage in the morning, exhaust out the back.

My 24 XLT off the lot came with tail gate step which I probably wouldn’t have ordered. But I use it a lot when loading the bed before hitching up. Added the Amp Research bumper step to use when TT is hitched up. Bases r now covered but no dual exhausts possible.
would like to add nice black exhaust tip and black wheel lugs since I have black appearance pkg. Any suggestions for tip and lugs??

I used the gorilla one piece black lug nut and had no problems with them. Only had the truck for 18k mi though ? folks here seem to like the Ford one piece black. Say they don't rust like some others do. No idea on the tip, mine came with them.

I have told my friends for several years that Ford trucks would have to be pure junk before I gave up on them due to the keypad. I want the keypad. Fords decision to remove them as a factory option is one of the most stupid idiotic decisions I’ve ever know a major company to make.
