I don't think limited is going anywhere since they run that across multiple models and people buy them.

If I recall correctly, the Limited was not avaialable in 2015 and the Plat was the top of the line that year (maybe other years also). So the idea of ditching the Limited is not far fetched. Especially if the Plats have the letters and wheels of the Limited.I don't think limited is going anywhere since they run that across multiple models and people buy them.
Grill looks awfully similar too. I mentioned it in another thread but perhaps they drop it to reduce SKUs. All those Limited buyers would probably just get a Platinum. If I recall correctly, the Limited was not avaialable in 2015 and the Plat was the top of the line that year (maybe other years also). Could be... I dont understand why they would paint one of their test trucks or concept trucks with the upgraded expensive paint color...Grill looks awfully similar too. Why not?Could be... I dont understand why they would paint one of their test trucks or concept trucks with the upgraded expensive paint color...
It's possible that's the production ready version of the truck. Maybe they're dropping the tailgate applique. I don't mind the way they look, but up close mine to starting to come off from the tailgate so it looks bad. Doesn't appear red is even an option on the '23 Limited.Could be... Same. I made a post about it quite awhile back also. Havent taken it in yet, but there is a good 1/4" gap between applique and talgate on the left and right end of the applique....It's possible that's the production ready version of the truck. Cost of paint is so minimal and is already built into the cost of R&D. Everything has to be tested. Even the flagship navigators are built and crushed when testing the production capabilities. Everything before job 1 is unsellable IIRCCould be... I dont understand why they would paint one of their test trucks or concept trucks with the upgraded expensive paint color...
IIRC = If I Remember Correctly. Check...always something to learn. Thought it was a cool R&D term from the context lolCost of paint is so minimal and is already built into the cost of R&D. Now you know why I bought a used 2021 instead of a new 2024.I saw a 23 Plat with paper plates driving in front of me yesterday and I saw it didn’t have the bed camera. A few days ago I noticed another one without the chrome exhaust tip.
Both times, I had an incredulous chuckle about how there’s thousands of aftermarket cameras and exhaust tips but a major manufacturer can’t get a single supplier or mom & pop shop in po-dunk Iowa to crank out some of these parts for them!
WTH?!?
I may put my 21 XLT 302A on the auction block for the highest bidder and make out like a king! I’ve got a better optioned truck than many ‘elite’ trim levels.
How certain are you that’s a platinum? Idk how you can tell2024 Platinum BAP. Note the absence of 'Platinum' lettering on the hood, no 22" wheels, and no dual exhaust.

I think the grille is what gives it away. How certain are you that’s a platinum? Idk how you can tell
Gotcha, I guess I haven’t seen enough pics to know the difference yet, I guess I just assumed he grille was the same for all BAP trucks like it is currentlyI guess the grille is the giveaway that this is a Platinum and not a Lariat
