ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Just ran my truck through FDRS. I have ABS, DDM and PDM updates showing that weren't there before. No big deal, IMO, but just FYI for all the people that must have the latest of everything to check to see if you have them, too.

Things might be more interesting for the Powerboost. In addition to the three you mentioned above, my Powerboost also got a PCM and an SOBDMC update. They are linked to the ABS as a package and FDRS prompts you to do all three at once.

Unfortunately, as has been the case in the past, the ABS update fails to clear the FDRS queue after installing. FORScan confirms that the update did apply properly, but FDRS is failing to report it properly to the Motorcraft server and the as-built data still shows the older version.

Curious what they are doing to doors now. ?
I think the last update to those was something about heated mirrors.

ABS seems to be involved in a lot of things unrelated to brakes. Or they could be patching the issue with people getting stuck in maintenance mode.

ABS on the Powerboost is involved in almost everything related to the truck actually rolling or not rolling. As well as anything related to regen charging of the HV battery.
It's no longer a term for "avoiding brakes from locking up a wheel in a panic stop".

It's amazing how many things the 4 wheel speed sensors are leveraged for these days.

Which updates are you referring to?

The ones that are referred to a few posts back...PCM, SOBDMC, ABS, DDM and PDM. The only one I real interested in is the PCM.

Just updated them all. The new ABS update wants to stick around after update. Like others in the past.

I've got a PB showing, my guess about the DDM/PDM is that they control the mirrors and there's been some glitchy things on mirror mem operation so this is probably fixing it. Forget where I saw it in the PTS system, I don't have full time access to it.
