I ended up having to CAN update to get it to go through. I used the current FDRS version, 46.5.6.
I will try again, but I don't recall even getting the option for it to ask me if the update was successful. Next time I try, I will copy the full error code if it comes back up.

Try the 20 minute battery disconnect too if you haven't already.
I downgraded to the 45.6.8 FDRS and it finally completed the IPC update.

Not showing any more software updates available, currently on Sync 22293 r610. Is this common for a 2021 F150?My software license runs out on the 11th, should I check one more time, or if FDRS is not pulling down any new packages, is that just it for my truck?

22293 was released on the 293 (late Sept) day of ’22, so it’s over 3 years old. The latest is 25211 that I’ve gotten on my ‘24 F150 and ‘25 Escape. I don’t know what the latest released version is for a ’21, I want to say 25094??? FDRS will (evidentially) certainly release more newer APIM (Sync) versions for you in your ‘21, along with GWM and TCU and several other various module updates. Some may also come via OTA now that you‘ve “broken the log-jamb”. But there’s nothing you can do to force it from your end. Yes, certainly log on again in 2 days before your subscription runs out if you can, and see if something else released. Otherwise, getting another subscription in 6+ months is your best bet. It used to be that people could look up your VIN and tell you what was in the hopper for you before you committed to another FDRS license, but sadly that went away about 2 months ago.

Since owning my used 21 since last March, it came with 24127 / 1270 on it. I have received no updates on the truck since owning it. Just an FYI for all.

Copy that. After 24127 then came 25094, then 25211 just a few weeks ago.

Your truck is one of many affected by the attached SSM. Until Ford gets their shit together, you are updated as much as you can be. The good news is, your OTA's will not work, but until Ford releases more for you and the other vehicles with updates on hold, this is as far as you can get.

You can post it in the "for sale" section here or ebay and you'll sell it quick and get most of your money back.

Coming over from the rotary shifter thread -- I actually have a 2025 and the goal is to get a Maverick rotary shifter from a 2025 for my truck. They suggested I pop in to see if FDRS will work for this application on the new trucks. I realize this is a Gen14 page but seems to have the most info for these mods.

Anyone have any ideas?

I saw your other posts about this with @Ajzride but I am not sure if anyone has tried it. TRON does not check for the VIN to match, but not sure if the different firmware and/or part number will cause an issue with FDRS and TRON authorization.

If you end up trying it, let us know if it works or not.

Has there been and update to fix the 21 running boards motor running long?
DSM software will need to be rolled back to fix the running boards issue. It happens to many 2021s including my own. Nothing other than rolling back the firmware will fix it.

Not sure about the charging system. What's voltage is the battery reading?

Not from Ford. You need to roll back the software in the DSM with FORScan beta. That is the only fix we know of.
