I messaged the service writer and asked him to send me a screen shot of my PTS page. I will post it when he sends it, or I will grab it tomorrow.
Maybe it’s listed differently in PTS? I think some are versus FDRS.

I was at my dealer today for a front end alignment, and while I was there, I asked the service writer to pull up my VIN on his PTS. It showed the usual ACM and BCM as well as a ITRM. This is the first time an ITRM shows up with a update. I have never had one even listed on PTS, FDRS or anywhere. I didn't know I had one. A TRM/TBM are the only ones listed up until today.

Has Ford somehow added a new module to my truck OTA?:unsure: Or have they simply changed the name of the trailer module to ITRM -Integrated Trailer Relay Module ? Inquiring minds want to know.
Oh man! I am excited to have a brand new module to throw codes on my truck!! It’s like I still won the lottery even though my Mega Millions ticket was a loser.

The TRM is frequently referred to as the ITRM in various technical documents, like TSBs, SSMs and recalls. I doubt this is a new module. The service writer is probably just using the acronym he’s most familiar with. Kinda like the GWM being frequently referred to as the ECG In documents.

I saw the PTS screen. It was in the middle of the list of modules. He didn't read it, I did. Because, at the time, I didn't know what it was. I didn't look at the bottom of the module list to see if the TRM/TBM was listed. I will try and get a screen shot of the list tomorrow.

So I had a charger hooked up to my truck the whole time I ran the FDRS updates, showed good voltage of 12.4+ volts the whole time, and the truck has a new battery as of 8/25, but now I started to get a 'service charging system soon' warning on the dash every time I start the truck. Anything specific I should check? I had the leads hooked up the recommended way as well, with the negative connected to the frame-ground.

Also, the passenger side power running board motor seems to keep trying to run after extension, is there a calibration I can run to clean that up?

Power boost? Check/charge the battery under the rear passenger seat.

DSM software will need to be rolled back to fix the running boards issue. It happens to many 2021s including my own. Nothing other than rolling back the firmware will fix it.

Not sure about the charging system. What's voltage is the battery reading?

How do I go about doing that? The roll back?

And directly at the battery, don't know, don't have access to my voltimeter right now, or do you mean what it shows in FDRS? I will have to hook everything back up later today and check.

it needs to be done with FORScan beta. I have the files. Message me if you want to do it and I will send you the files and instructions.

Inside of FDRS, while engine running, shows 14.3v, with engine off, shows 12.4v .

That seems perfectly normal. Voltage and state of charge is not the same thing, so you can have good voltage and low charge. I would leave the charger on it until it gets to 100% and see if it goes away.

Also showing a DTC under the SCCM, showing 'Lost communication with image processing module A'. Any idea what that is about? I have reset and retest, and it still keeps popping up.

I will try that overnight, thanks.

I was able to perform the DSM firmware roll back as well, thank you!
