The module is everything, knobs and all.Did you have to buy new knobs? And I notice you have the heated steering wheel, when was yours built?

Did you give them your real VIN number? or a Donor VIN ? I read that the parts dealers are not happy to give you the part if your truck didn't come with it.I just ordered one for mine with the assistance of @dolsen. Motorcraft part # is CCM-403. Royalty OEM Parts had the best price I could find.
I don't recall entering a VIN when I ordered it. I searched Google for the part number, clicked on their link and added it to the cart.Did you give them your real VIN number? or a Donor VIN ? I read that the parts dealers are not happy to give you the part if your truck didn't come with it.
Once the truck arrives, I will be happy to do so!Post pics once you’re done.
I'm an idiot and didn't read this thread first. I swapped my new module in last night thinking it would just be plug and play as I have a 502a. Well it does work but not all functions work. I realize now I need to load my as built data on it. I'm assuming I need to swap back in my old module, save its as built data, then swap in my new unit again and program it. Is this correct or am i screwed that I didn't back up my unit first before unplugging it and swapping the new one in? ThanksMake sure you back up your HVAC as builts before swapping the module
If you have your factory as-builts saved somewhere, or you can pull them from the motorcraft service website, then you can write them all in. That may be faster than swapping them back, but has a much higher incident rate for mistakes. I personally would not swap them and just manually enter factory as-builts, but I’m *generally* very careful and mistake free when changing as builts, though I’m certainly not perfectI'm an idiot and didn't read this thread first. I forgot about that function, I’ve never used it, but it could be worth a tryI thought the updated version of Forscan will automatically pull the AB data from the Motorcraft website based on your VIN, so no need to manually backup AB anymore? Should just be able to click Load AB and it will put the values in, so no need to swap back to the old unit.
even if this doesn’t work, once you can get the AB files from the Motorcraft website, copy the data and paste it in a spreadsheet and then you could manually write all the blocks in the new HVAC module
Thank you! I got my cable, got forscan and the extended license. Was able to pull the hvac module, load as built information and write it no problemo. Easy as could be, even for a forscan newbie like me. Turned the truck on and all the buttons seem functional as they should. Are you saying you already had the heat steering wheel and after swapping to the digital readout HVAC the steering wheel doesn’t get as hot as before?Has anyone done the swap then felt the Heated Steering Wheel not seem as hot? I don’t know if it’s just my mind playing tricks on me but I swapped my controls last night. Swapped the as builts and even took a photo of each before and after.
Today the wheel didn’t really seem to get warm much at all. It’s already set to B on 724-06 so 35C which is 95 Freedom Units. Am I over thinking this? Truck was on for about 15 minutes when the wheel didn’t really feel getting warm.
Yes. I have a factory heated steering wheel and this morning it didn’t feel nearly as hot. There’s no way it was at 95 degrees that’s for sure. The hottest is only 5 degrees more. Are you saying you already had the heat steering wheel and after swapping to the digital readout HVAC the steering wheel doesn’t get as hot as before?
