Has anyone successfully installed the older LCD temp display HVAC module in a 2024 without DCT’s active or otherwise? I have posted in the older threads with no responses. Any information about ’24’s would be helpful as I have the module but waiting on confirmation.
Thanks

Do you still have the temperature icons at the top of the screen? Just curious as I thought it’d be neat if that feature stayed.

Also, did you have to make any changes in Forscan? I've seen some people say it's plug-and-play, while others say you need to change things in Forscan.

I'd love to make this change on my 24 Lariat. Do tell how painful was it?

I think it was a little painful from all that I’ve read about doing this in a ’24

Yes. It required Forscan.
The Forscan changes I made added outside temperature (I didnt have before) to the top bar and the dual temperature display.

Passenger is able to change the temperature via the knob but nothing really happens.

Not really painful. The Forscan changes required me to download AB files from a 2023 that were shared here. I upload those into the HVAC module (made sure the settings made sense) and voila.

Initially it didn’t turn the AC on, I uploaded my AB (XL 2024) and everything worked but the rear defroster and only a single LCD displayed the tempt.

Saw an F250 thread sharing their 2023 was the same as a 2024 F150 and that 2023 AB files worked for them so I tried that.

Loaded a 2023 file that was somewhere in a thread there and that worked. All functions are there (except heated/cooled seats and HSW). Those will be tested soon once the harnesses comes in.

Ok, I figured. Interesting the passenger knob doesn't do anything. It's tempting, as I think the digital temp readouts look really good, but I would hate to run into little gremlins like that. Well......food for thought. lol

The passenger knob turns the displayed temperature up or down but does not vise the temperature to change (obvious lack of dual zone climate).

It’s a nice tool to let your wife think she is in control haha
