Seeing recent posts with Jesse having to help people with broken updates. Would it be better to stop at a certain point in updates when using FDRS? Are there some updates that are just broken?
If you run into an issue, just post here and he or someone will chime in to help.

Maybe a throwback question, with the update for unreal having been pushed (IIRC?), has the defaulting back to 3d heading up view been sorted? I'm hoping that since I already had it enabled and updated, the push to deploy it didn't ignore my changed as-built and leave the bug in there :/

With the help of Jesse and ruge I took the plunge and am running FDRS for a couple of days on a ‘21 Job 2. One little hiccup that Jesse was immediately able to help with otherwise smooth sailing so far.

Currently running the second APIM update I’ve had release and I’m a few hours in showing over 400 minutes (almost 7 hours) left. Seems like a lot longer than what I’ve read about so far in this thread. Is this normal? Just want to make sure I’m not screwing something up…

Yeah.. Fords servers are severely slowed down going through FDRS.

It should not take that long though

tracking progress here so ya'll can rightfully laugh at me, or share in my pain..

Monday: called dealer, explained everything, had a good game plan
Tuesday: dropped truck off, advisor forgot game plan, appears to have not been touched all day, no follow-up
Wednesday: called dealer, they said APIM was ordered Tuesday and should arrive by EOD. said truck would be ready by Friday, maybe even Thursday.
Thursday: APIM has not arrived. "just waiting on delivery guy"

Is that the newest version? I think 4.2.4 was latest prior to this, it surprises me because it seemed like the 21’s were behind for so long
My '21 is at 4.2.4 now. They have been pushing updates in a hurry lately.

Quick question, sorry if this isn’t the best forum but it’s one that somewhat related to Forscan. I just went over 36,000 miles on my truck and noticed the led light bar above the headlight has turned yellow. Well, Ford wants 2k for a new headlight and I’m not going to do that. I know you can disable DRL during the day, but those LED’s come back on when the headlights are turned on. Does anyone know of a way to completely turn off the LED lights around the headlights? Even when the headlamps are on. 2021 XLT, 302A. Thanks in advance

Anyone having issues with BlueCruise since updating via FDRS? I completed multiple rounds of updates to get everything completely up to date from last September and now, after working yesterday, BlueCruise won’t work for me.

Any thoughts?

If your’re sure your GWM, TCU and APIM are all up to date, you could try manually updating your BC maps. TSB 23-2122 includes the following procedure:

Vehicle Connectivity Verification/Map Update Procedure

1. Verify if the vehicle connectivity is set to ON. Go to Settings > Connectivity > Under Connected Vehicle Features the Vehicle Connectivity setting should be ON.

NOTE: If not, ask customers to turn it ON if they wish to use BlueCruise as BlueCruise will not work with Vehicle Connectivity set to OFF.

2. Update BlueCruise Maps:

(1). Cycle the ignition off and on 10 times.

(2). Keep ignition on.

(3). Wait 5 minutes.

(4). Perform an additional ignition cycle off then on.

(5). Check SYNC About screen for this message: Hands-Free Driving Mode available through 10-06-2073 or future date.

So I creted a Motorcraft login account, but when I click Login, it redirects me to Ford's single signon. I then log in with my ford.com account and Motorcraft tries to link it to a new account. This fails on ifferent computers with different browsers, same message.

How can I proceed? I have the stand alone Motorcraft account, but don't know if that is sufficient. I haven't paid for the license yet, just prepping so I am ready to go and not waste time.

Your Motorcraft account does not have to be the same credentials as your personal Ford account.

And when you go to purchase your license, that will be yet another account that you will need to create.

Example of what I have:

1. Personal Ford account. It's associated with my VINs of Ford vehicles I own. And FordPass uses these credentials as well

2. Motorcraft account. Not the same credentials as #1.

3. FDRS license purchase account (at helm, I believe) I do use the same credentials as #2 just to not confuse myself. So both using FDRS and licensing FDRS are the same username/password

Yea, it can be confusing at first

I can't find a place to log in with the FDRS account since the FDRS website redirects me to single sign on. And since I haven't paid for the license I can't test in the app. I want to avoid delays when I actually pay for the license. How can I test the FDRS account was really created?

Also, the app says VCI is missing. Do I need to install that as well? Or just FDRS? I will be using the Mongoose and that software is already installed. I am not new to car diag software, but this is too convoluted for something that costs so much. :/
