Retired young at 56 in 2008 after ~30 great years in civil engineering construction project management, built all sorts of fun big stuff, occasionally stressful, usually challenging, always learning, never bored!

Half of my career in private sector, second half with state environmental agency, life in retirement is great, funded by savings, State retirement pension (fully paid medical with that!), and Social Security.
