i've only dabbled a bit in sync 4, but it's miles ahead of my current volvo, and other makes i've been in like, mazdas, hyundai, vw, etc.
This is my third Ford. We've come a long way since MyFordTouch. Now that was a piece of junk.

I wish we had some specs on this thing. It looks pretty light and still obviously doesn't have many camera plugs, so don't expect much more advancement there..

Truly the 2017 designed Tesla infotainment computer makes this look lame, and Tesla has already moved beyond that with two upgrades. I don't find my self in many other car brands, but I can tell you that original Model 3 Tesla infotainment system beat the best Ford and GM have put out to date.

The Android OS was supposed to have been in the 2023 Lightning. Nice to see they're only a coupe of years late.

I didn't notice until you mentioned it and I re-read it. Honestly, I would prefer a fingerprint scanner or PAAK. After a long night of drinking, my face is unrecognizable the next day. :ROFLMAO:
Drinking... Wonder if some of that biometric whatever is leading into the mandatory anti-drunk driving tech coming down the line.

Yeah, I was pondering as to if the biometrics ala a fingerprint pushbutton start with alcohol sniffer on it was in the works

At least have the framework in place for it so it's supported. I expect at least one auto manufacturer to do it before the requirement just to try and capitalize on safety aspect. If the support is there and they run sync 5 as long as they have run sync 4 it makes sense to build with support in mind.

I'm betting that the new dash layout of the mustang itself is showing just how bad sync 4 is. All those gauges and whatnot, the tiles in the MME were gimped. You used to be able to show live things like TPMS of each tire in the tile, then they removed it. Now when you click on the tire tile, sync glitches at it switches to the screen, complete with audio dropout.
I recently was in a focus group for Ford and they showed us concept designs of the new dashboard ideas they are working on. Let me tell you it's going to take a fair bit of compute to drive everything that Ford is planning doing with the next generation F150 cluster/infotainment system. Hopefully they get their dev team to get the glitches sorted out before then.

I'd love to be in a focus group with the main folks there to take them to task.

Run it with an A17 Pro and come over to the dark side
