Sync Issue

Since I’ve updated to 3.5.3 I have noticed something that may be an issue or just a change.

Before the update, a short push of the talk button on the steering wheel would allow you to give Sync commands such as “Play Artist”, “Switch to Sirius Chanel xx”... etc.
A longer push would bring up Siri. This worked with CarPlay connected.

Since the update, with CarPlay connected, you cannot get any Sync commands with the short push. Sync says these features are not available when CarPlay is active. If you disconnect CarPlay it works fine.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I can't say I've experienced that problem. I regularly do a quick tap of the PTT button to change Sirius channels (especially to KIDZBop ) while in full screen Carplay. Since you are on 3.5.3 maybe once it gets to 3.5.4 which is full screen Carplay that'll fix it.

I already have full screen CarPlay. What does 3.5.4 give you?

Sorry it's too early, I got my revisions messed up. AFAIK you are on the latest revision available. Maybe try un-pairing your phone and re-pairing it? And just to confirm you are doing a quick tap, like literally just tapping the button, not holding it for a second?

Yes. A quick tap. It brings up the Sync command screen, but won’t respond because of CarPlay.

Are you on 22228 or 22293?

Well I don't think anyone knows definitively what it was about 22228 that Ford abruptly halted the roll out for, and quickly (relatively) substituted 22293 instead, but maybe you have stumbled on an example?
