Sync 4 Issue

I have a 2021 power boost 502a. Bought it 6 months ago with 50k on it and love it. However I seem to have issues with the sync 4 system. Anytime I’m on the phone and I adjust the climate control or adjust the fan speed the call stops coming through the speakers. I have to switch the phone from f150 to speaker then back to f150 to make it work again. Literally every call. Car play doesn’t seem to make a difference. It is so annoying.


Anyone else have this issue? I’ve done the reset of the radio and it doesn’t change anything. Tried different phones with no luck.

SYNC has had many updates since it's introduction in 2021 with the F150. First you'll need to find out if you're truck is up to date. What version is displayed on the "About SYNC" screen in your truck?

I’ll have to look later as I’m not by it. However I’ve checked for software updates and it says it’s up to date.

Yes, that button is a tease, it never really "checked for software updates" it only checks if there is an update that has been downloaded to the truck and is ready to be installed. The button has been removed in the newest version of SYNC, as it really didn't do anything.

Terrific, your only one or two versions behind on SYNC, PM rugdraw again tomorrow with your VIN , and ask him to check your OTA status to see whats going on, the current version of SYNC 24127 is very stable and may fix your dropped call issues, but first you'll have to get there.
