So I took my 21 xlt in to get some of the recalls taken care of and mentioned that the OTA updates were not working.
Truck has been at the dealer two days now because the tech is saying the modules need to be updated and it is taking longer than expected. The tech is also saying he can’t guarantee everything will be ready before next Monday as well.
Is this normal?

Yes. With your VIN, I can provide more details on your situation and what the dealer has done so far.

Your OTA history is pretty extensive and overall good. The last OTA you were sent was 22-PU1009-PPO-SI which failed due to low battery voltage. I see no indication that they have tried to update any modules. Seeing that Ford does not pay dealers to update modules, I would not have high hopes that they do anything. Once they address the recalls, they'll call you and tell you it is ready and that everything is up to date. Your truck is not up to date, but the things you are missing are not a big deal and you'll get them eventually, Nothing to worry about, IMO.
