Issues Encountered:
1-3 shift has always been terrible, feels like it surges into 3rd
switch from electric to ICE drive at low speed is sluggish/hesitant
get the slam up shift/down shift on occasion (not enough to warrant dealer trip)
get the dead pedal in turns and straight away on rare occasion (not enough to warrant dealer trip)
BUT, I’ve learned to bypass skip shift with throttle input and it shifts better that way.
*oh, and this morning when I parked after drive to work, engine suddenly revved to about 2500, felt a slight bump, it revved higher to about 3100 for about 3 seconds, then it came back down to idle for charging .

2021 with 65k miles

Powerboost with the 3.5

Did a drain (vac out 10 quarts in 5 quart intervals) and also added 10 ounces of Lubeguard Platinum at 50k.

Shifting improved after the drain and fill, especially the irregular, hard downshifts from 4-3.

Still have some slightly clunky downshifts here and there, but I'm confident that my extended warranty will take care of any issues while I own this pickup.

Transmission has been excellent with the exception of jumping in truck hit drive without waiting a short while for it to idle will slip like crazy in Drive but not reverse and ambient temps don’t matter just 1st start of the day
Give it 30 seconds to idle and it’s fine
A very few clunky downshifts stopping at lights but honestly that’s nothing
I fear the issues that were corrected with the 23 model will bite me in the arse out of warranty given my low mileage
As I understand it it’s not a question of if but when
Hopefully a recall will fix that

Issues Encountered:
-Trans suffered from same conditions Ford had class action suits against them from purchase at 14,000 mi
In shop 5 of first 11 months ownership. Loaners were rare and restricted to in-state travel frequently.
Worst of problem went away while in shop for other issue and Ford ordered a re-program about 60K
At 50K paid $1000 to have pan dropped to check for metal, none found. Filter and 1/2 fluid changed
Ongoing shift issues
108,000 mi engine drivetrain clutch failed, now out of warranty, $8k fix
Still doing bad things, worst is step on gas in a pinch and get...nothing. No good for Atlanta driving
Trans should have been replaced by 25K, Ford said they would compensate about $3000 of rentals and loss of use. Filed it all, nothing received. As expected
Love the truck, Bilstein 5100's all four, Helwig rear bar, Conti HTs but power delivery is rough and too unpredictable. Should have been fixed, wasn't

Fluid flushed - hasn't made it more than 34k on a single trans so no flushes. Fluid was clean @34k when they were diagnosing the CDF drum. Will flush at 30k intervals on the new unit.

Love my truck and will likely just learn how to rebuild the 10r over the next few years. When the 10r is working it's a fantastic transmission. None of my issues left me stranded. I have been proactive with the issue more so than many so I probs could have dragged the original transmission for another 30k before it ate itself up

Had reverse issues with transmission binding and stopped moving. Needed to rev engine high to move or switch from reverse to neutral and back to reverse to move.
Ford put in a new transmission under warranty.

Transmission Fluid changed? No. I drive in Sport mode on a regular basis in town. Highway driving in normal mode.

Issues Encountered: During cold weather (below 50* F) I get a hard shift from 4-5 until the trans warms up. In warmer weather, I get a goofy 4-5 shift, like it hesitates, engine RPM's go up, then down, then goes from 4 to 5.

Issues Encountered:
- Didn't like the way it was shifting. Stopped use of adaptive learning and cleared the adaptive tables. Ran it like that for a few days then resumed adaptive learning. Shifts like butter now.

Always be gentle on the 10R80 until around 80°C, otherwise coming to a stop with a downshift from 3 to 1 could feel like you've been rear-ended.?
