Did it fix the issue?
For now.
We also took our 2022 Lincoln Aviator Reserve with the 10 speed trans and 47k miles in a couple of months ago because of hard shifting between park/drive, drive/reverse, etc, and dealership ended up telling us the transmission needed to be replaced. The replacement took a month to complete. They did provide us a nice courtesy car at no cost.

I’m am finding I’m not a fan of these 10 speed, driving habit automatic adaptive programming to the transmission. I think this is the main issue for these.

This is the description of the 10 speed adaptive learning transmission.

“Adaptive Shift Scheduling” or “Intelligent Shift Logic.”

These terms describe the transmission’s ability to learn your driving habits—like how aggressively or gently you accelerate, brake, and corner—and then adjust shift points accordingly. This helps optimize performance, fuel efficiency, and

I have a 2024 Lariat crew cab and mine has a shudder/vibration while slowing to a stop downshifting from 8th down through 3rd gear. If I’m cruising at 35-40 and slip it into neutral while slowing to a stop it’s smooth, and it will slightly clunk when it comes to a stop like it was stuck in gear. Not sure if it’s the torque converter or the transmission. Hopefully they can fix it with a software update, goes in to my dealer on the 23rd. Has 1750 miles on it.
That sounds like a Torque Converter Clutch lockup solenoid actuator isn’t playing nice. Meaning the torque converter isn’t unlocking in the overdrive gears when decelerating, which it should. That is the shudder feel is my guess.

My 24 KR is approaching 7 months old and has never skipped a gear ever doesn’t matter how easy or how hard it’s driven. If it has adaptively learned not to do that then that’s a very good thing.

I bought a 2024 XLT FX4 F150 with the 3.5L Twin Turbo with the 10R80 transmission. It now has 4900 miles and the transmission causes floor/seat vibration at highway speeds of 68 mph and up usually in 10th gear. Had it to the dealer 3 times and all they said was wheel balance. I was thinking drive shaft issue at one time but dealer says it's not. Transmission shifts smoothly around town. Higher octane gas seems to help. Very disappointed to say the least.

Very well could be wheel balance. Did it come with LT rated tires?

My 22 XLT when new went through two sets of Goodyear Territory HTs that shook until they were finally road force balanced. IIRC it took something like an ounce and all was well after that.

I’ve been in the tire biz for over 30 years and it is more than likely tire balance issue, has the dealer road force balanced them? If not they should, then they can see a problem with any single assembly. What tires came on your truck? My 24 Lariat came with Hankooks and they’re shit with a ton of wheel weights from the factory.. Deciding on what to replace them with before winter.

Yes, the tires were road force balanced. Tires are LT General Grabber APT, size LT26570R18, mounted on Ford factory chrome like wheels. Each wheel has about 4.5 ounces of weight which seems excessive. Dealer says tires/wheels were ok after balancing but can you trust that? I will say it was better after the third time but some vibration is still present usually under light throttle at 68mph and above.

Find a GOOD tire shop in your area and have them road force them and see what they say. Car dealers don’t like tires, especially when it comes to warranty.. Lol

Does anyone know if a transmission cooler upgrade is worth doing? I have a 2024 F150 XLT 5.0 3.31 gears with 26k miles. I will be towing my camper around 820 miles one way. Trying to find out how necessary it is to have that upgraded.
