  1. 2024/2025-10R80 Experience

    Good thought. Thanks.
  2. 2024/2025-10R80 Experience

Yes, the tires were road force balanced. Tires are LT General Grabber APT, size LT26570R18, mounted on Ford factory chrome like wheels. Each wheel has about 4.5 ounces of weight which seems excessive. Dealer says tires/wheels were ok after balancing but can you trust that? I will say it was...
  3. 2024/2025-10R80 Experience

I bought a 2024 XLT FX4 F150 with the 3.5L Twin Turbo with the 10R80 transmission. It now has 4900 miles and the transmission causes floor/seat vibration at highway speeds of 68 mph and up usually in 10th gear. Had it to the dealer 3 times and all they said was wheel balance. I was thinking...
  4. Transmission Smooth Until it Warms Up

Here's the video I was speaking of. I had an 05 F150 5.4L which I reluctantly just traded. His videos kept my truck running strong.
  5. Transmission Smooth Until it Warms Up

I have a 2024 F150 3.5L Ecoboost TT with a 10R80 transmission. Yes, what you are describing is what my truck does. It runs great for about 30 minutes after startup. Smooth as can be. After driving at highway speeds at 68mph and up, I get a minor vibration in the seat and floor board. Dealer...
  6. 10 Speed Trans vibration issue

Thanks for your input. Service Mgr said the vibration analyzer is not all knowing but guides you in the right direction. I believe the drive shaft/u-joint may still be the issue as you state if not slightly out of balance. It stops when I left off the accelerator. Vibration is very slight now...
  7. 10 Speed Trans vibration issue

Thanks for your reply. Good to hear that you have a dealer willing to serve their customer and that your vibration issue is gone. I too just got my truck back from a 2nd Ford dealer. They said they attached a meter to the seat frame and attached it to an analyzer to measure vibration...
  8. 10 Speed Trans vibration issue

I see. No, not in 4WD. Only driving I do at 68mph on a highway is 2WD. I'll run 4WD when the snow season starts when I go north, but not at that speed. The general consensus on this thread seems to be drive train components and not the transmission. Thanks for your input.
  9. 10 Speed Trans vibration issue

Front or rear shaft on a 4x4? What makes you think that and how would I check for that underneath the truck?
  10. 10 Speed Trans vibration issue

Today I did just that. At 68 mph, the vibration was evident so I downshifted into 8th gear. The RPM's went from about 1800 to about 2200. The vibration was constant. It never stopped or changed. I then shifted to 9th then 10th. No change. What is your conclusion?
  11. 10 Speed Trans vibration issue

That's really bad service. In my experience, no Service Tech or Advisor will go on the highway. They just run about 10 mi or so in the vicinity of the dealership. I called Ford Customer Service today. They called the dealership, gave me a case #, and told me to call before leaving the Service...
  12. 10 Speed Trans vibration issue

No recall received. Interesting the driveshaft is the cause in your case knowing it was removed. Hope Ford gets that fixed for you. I'm headed into the dealer next Monday. I'll post what they do next.
  13. 10 Speed Trans vibration issue

Gotcha. Would you post an update when you get your truck back from the dealer? I'd be interested in how they handle the vibration issue. Thanks.
  14. 10 Speed Trans vibration issue

Yes, I know the feeling and have read F150 owners accounts with the same annoying vibration. I have a gas motor, 3.5L Twin Turbo which runs great. I started running Shell VTech 93 in it but that doesn't help. Was told it would help with computer module trying to decide which gear for best fuel...
  15. 10 Speed Trans vibration issue

My truck's symptoms exactly, except for the high pitch noise. I can hear the turbos winding down tho when I come to a stop but that's normal. I have an appointment next Monday at a different Ford dealer. From your input and others, I think it's a driveshaft, U-joint related issue. Thanks again.
  16. 10 Speed Trans vibration issue

That's good info! I'm beginning to believe that's where the problem lies. I have an appointment for next Monday 7/28 at a different dealer. I appreciate your input.
  17. 10 Speed Trans vibration issue

I'm not crazy! Thanks for your reply. Yes, that's the issue! Once it starts, it continues at lower speeds as you stated. My truck has a Mfr date of 12/24 built at the Kansas City plant. Yours? Very well could be driveshaft and/or U Joints. Trans shifts/downshifts smoothly. Torque converter might...
  18. 10 Speed Trans vibration issue

That sounds interesting. What should I expect?
  19. 10 Speed Trans vibration issue

Good info. I will call to make an appointment when they are open on Monday. I will post again when the issue is addressed. Thanks again.
