It hurts me to say this but I have a 2021 lariat fx4 and it has been nothing but problems after problems. Ford just finds a technicality to not fix it. Now I'm fighting the B&O radio issue where only my tweeters work all of a sudden. I wish I would have never bought this truck and hopefully this reaches a ton of people in order for them to steer clear of Ford. If ford is not going to back their product then go buy from someone else is all I can say. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Bought it used and even though they say it’s blue advantage which goes through this “Rigorous” inspection they still put the words “as is”. So I’m goosed on that as well. I’ve been a ford guy for 20 years and this has finished me off.

Every manufacturer is having these problems and it’s hard to find one where they aren’t. Pretty much the only way around it is by buying either 20-30 year old trucks and completely refurbishing them, or only buying the base models of new cars/trucks.

The point of diminishing returns on technology pretty much started after 2006 and it’s been getting worse as EPA milestones continue to become more stringent and integrated infotainment systems become more and more foisted on us by marketing. The only way to make manufacturers build the trucks that are more reliable is to stop buying all the ridiculous overpriced stuff that they are pushing.

If buyers stopped buying the higher trims they would be forced into making more of the cheaper simpler models that they have been rationing out that only exist to bait and switch buyers. Look at what happened with the base Bronco and Mavericks.

Tweeters only indicates issue with the amp in the back. Sounds like you have the 8 channel system? Something wrong with the amp? I have a like new one if you're interested (8 channel B&O).

Check its connections, behind driver's rear seat next to the sub. How many miles on it?

Buying used is always a risk, but seems like you are giving up over minor issues. Enjoy whatever you find for your next ride that makes you happy. :)

No offense and all, but it appears you just joined this forum to make this gripe. Don't get me wrong, I get your truck has issues. My 2020 Chevy Trail Boss had issues. I moved back to Ford. My experience with Ford has been great. My experience with Chevy sucked.

Here is the difference. I know that my truck with Chevy sucked, but I also know that not all Chevys suck. It is part of the modern vehicle. There are just tons of electrical gremlins that can pop up. They are rolling computers that integrate with a massive internal combustion design. Hell, even yours is an engineering marvel. The simple truth is this - wait for it - they all suck now.

Well that is by your standards. Every single truck manufacturer is struggling with quality issues right now. Toyota literally is recalling an entire year of engines for the Tundra. One whole model year. Why? Their manufacturing process was so damn sloppy that all of the engines had so much debris left in them that they are seizing up at an alarming rate. This is Toyota, the king of quality.

GM has its issues. Ram is currently working its gremlins out of the new Hurricane engine that loses half of its cylinders without warning.

So you are mad at Ford. I get it. You can move on. Chances are, you will get a good truck. If you got a Ford, chances are you would as well. The vast majority of folks on this forum are here because we like our trucks (which means they are generally not giving us the problems you describe). I don't say this to run you down. I am actually trying to give you advice: you have a lemon. Trade it for whatever you like best. They all have their potential problems, just understand how complicated all of these trucks have become. They all have their lemons.

I also think this is a salient point. I used to believe that buying a late model low mileage used truck was the best and smartest move. Not anymore. I only buy new now with the protection a manufacturer's warranty gives me and an ESP. More than ever, I want to know what has happened with the truck from the cradle. I don't want to buy someone else's problem.

perhaps add, "non-covid" to the description . . .

2021 and 2022 models in general will go down in history in infamy.

To be fair, buying a low mileage truck a year or two old gives the buyer the remainder of the factory warranty along with a generous savings. The buyer could also still buy an ESP if so inclined.

That is exactly what I did, but I saved even more $ due to the mileage.

Yeah I have checked all the connections to sub and even traced the wires looking for frays and no luck. Taken out the fuse and put back in and it fixed it for about 5 minutes one time then it reverted back and now when I take fuse out and put back in there is no change. It has 43k miles.

I don’t want to get in some long drawn out debate about it. I wished I would have checked the forums before I bought this truck bc there is tons and tons of people complaining about a lot of similar issues that I have had and currently are having. Im not normalizing this bc other manufacturers are having issues as well.

Driving my first ever used purchase because the price of these trucks is ridiculous now, and I didn't want to have any deletes. Put ESP on it at 30k miles. Zero issues other than needing FDRS to update it. Love this truck! ?
