If it makes you feel any better, I had a '23 Toyota Tundra 1794 last year and it ate batteries like a kid at the state fair's corn dog stand and they never could figure it out. Needless to say, I drive a GM now and am awaiting my '24 KR to be built.

If anything happens to my 22 PB, i’m looking for a 20-21 tundra.

2022 F150 Lariat Powerboost
Hello Everyone, I am entering my 8th month with my 2023 Ford F-150 Lariat Powerboost and once again finding myself regretting this purchase. After spending 3 weeks at a dealership getting a new starter, alternator, and misc exhaust pieces replaced due to screeching sounds I find myself having to schedule another service appointment because Ford clearly doesnt care about quality control or the customer. I once again am getting low battery errors less than a month after being told all issues have been fixed. FordPass App features no longer work because of these low battery issues, i cant roll up my driver window without it rolling itself down on its own, i keep getting random trailer break failure messages (WHICH THEY SAID WAS FIXED) and am just sick of the experience i am getting in a truck that has less than 5K Miles. Sorry for the long rant but after such a shitty experience i dont think i will ever purchase a Ford product again.
Having the same battery & window issues with my 2022 Powerboost. Also had to deal with the B&O screaming static issue. Purchased a Trickle Charger, says my battery is basically at full charge (12.9 volts) but still getting the low charge warning on my dash and FordPass app. Also had a random check engine light related to an issue with the catalytic converter. Would be nice if Ford could address these issues.

2023 Lariat PB here. 3500 miles. Dealer replaced battery. Still draining. I read in many posts to just replace the garbage battery with the Walmart equivalent and reset the BCM. Battery control module. Google for instructions on that.

The 1794 does look good though ?. Referencing some ranch no one has heard of that became a Toyota plant in San Antonio is a bit too KR adjacent ?
The RAM Longhorn can breathe a sigh of relief now

credit card surcharges are generally a violation of the company’s agreement with the credit card company. If the card company finds out, the business could be blocked from using credit cards as a method of payment.
That maybe, but some are definitely adding a surcharge. Maybe I should contact my credit card company.

Hey all,

I upgraded the shitty Motorcraft (Clarios) battery to the X2 (Northstar) from Batteries Plus, and most of my issues went away.

(Our battery size is a 94R)

Just an FYI.
Which Northstar X2 battery did you go with? Thanks

Here is a link.

You should get a 10% discount if ordering online

I added a link to the recommended charger, as the PB has a string parasitic drain that im trying to pinpoint for everyone.

And here is the charger you should use.

Victron Energy Blue Smart IP65 12-Volt 15 amp Battery Charger (Bluetooth) https://a.co/d/551VWXY

This whole thread should be deleted or at least renamed @Administrator .

The items the OP is detailing have nothing to do with the PB part of the truck and nothing against the OP, he and I spoke offline and is a real nice guy.

I think many people confuse "bad battery" with the PB Lithium-Ion battery.

To be clear, there are three batteries in a PB truck:
- 12V under the hood for cranking and typical use
- Smaller 12v under rear, passenger side seat for proximity sensors, OTA connectivity and others
- Large Lithium-Ion battery to power the mobility of your truck like an EV.

I cant count how many 'bad battery' and 'low SoC battery' posts Ive read, not only on this forum but others as well as Youtbube videos and other informative resources. (Im honestly surprised there hasnt been a recall on them). But that battery is NOT the PB battery.

I know the admins are busy, but I wish they would comb through some of these incorrectly-targeted threads and articles. Maybe promote well established, non-confrontational members to moderators to assist?

Having a thread with all caps and the term "BUYER BEWARE of PBs", is like screaming DONT BUY A GRAY F150 CUZ MY TAILGATE WONT OPEN!

Just had the dealer replace the battery in my 2023 Tremor 5.0. The truck was built in May of 23, purchased in late October. Battery replaced in Feb 24. When tested only registered 771 CCA out of 800. Evidently these new trucks are very sensitive to weak batteries. Just watched a video the other day posted by makuloco a Ford tech. According to him, these trucks draw 18 amps of current just parked in your driveway. He also stated a less than 20 minute drive will not fully recharge the battery.

I wonder if GM AC Delco batteries are any better. There is this one with that has 850 CCA AAND 150 min reserve capacity

I would go out on the limb and say any battery is better than the 21 through 23 promo codes right now.

I usually research a few different websites that does reviews on what I'm looking to buy and try and find a common denominator that's in the top three or five of each of the websites I peruse.
