To me, one of the biggest fails for Ford, or where I think Ford failed its customers is by not putting a 7.5 kWh battery in the PowerBoost. If they did, it would be plenty of power for this idea and others, provided far more range in EV only mode, and we could have all reaped the benefits of...
Oh I'm not thinking of using the truck battery for power. I agree, that would be way too much of a draw. I am thinking if you could use the hybrid battery for this "Sentry" mode, it should be feasible if the hybrid battery had any decent SOC when it was parked. After all, it is only a 1.5 kWh...
I am very, very new to FORScan but yes, you can change a lot. You can also mess up a lot so my only advice is when you go into each module for the first time (VDM, BCM, etc.), before you touch anything at all, you save the factory settings so if you screw something up, you can recover it...
I did. It was one of the first things I did when it arrived to my driveway last year. I used the MegaOhm kit listed below but I know you can delete it/shut it up in FORScan as well...
It's not all rainbows and butterflies. The massage seats are a welcome comeback (came in 2024 as did most of the items on your list) but you have some not so welcome deletes that the 2024s do have.
Your wired keypad on the door granting you access to the truck is gone. You also no longer have...
A "Sentry" mode like Tesla uses to record events similar to what @jlilnc14 said would be really cool. I'm assuming a record feature like what he mentioned would only be able to be used while driving since it would be powered by the 12V battery. This is still great though as it would help...
I'm glad I stumbled across this thread. I am very new to FORScan and just started to play with it mainly because of this thread. Here in the DFW area, all of the roads are concrete pads and as the clay underneath expands and contracts, the concrete pads shift and you get mild to moderate...
My 2021 500A Lariat DID NOT come with the Home Link garage door opener.
I looked on the 2025 F150 build guide and it isn't listed on any trim except the Tremor and even on a Tremor, you must select the 402A ($11,000) option before Ford allows you into your garage. I know it is on the Lariat...
What is the first digit of the VIN?
If it is a "1", it was not manufactured in Canada. It was made in the USA.
1, 4, 5 or 7 United States
2 Canada
3 Mexico
I haven't really kept up on the forums for the past few months...life has gotten in the way but after seeing the changes to the 2025 KR from the 2024, I am happy I bought mine last year.
The removal of the kick switch allowing you to lower the running boards without opening the door seems like...
Every auto maker has their issues/problems. Some you can live with and some you cannot. Only you can define your line in the sand.
I had some issues with my 2021 5.0 Lariat. The truck itself was great but the electronic dashboard would go completely black from time to time at random moments...
Oddly, mine stays up on my 2024 but in my older 2021, it did not. The logical side of me asks, "what is the purpose of these springs?" If the purpose is to hold the console lid open, then that part has failed and should be taken back to the dealer for repair/replacement.
When the lid didn't...
I missed a few earlier and I know there is more but in 2024 you get leather seats. In 2025, you get "Active X" (synthetic leather). Also, for the 502A package, you get the B&O stereo with 18 speakers in the 2024 and only 14 in the 2025. Another oddity that I saw was ambient lighting. In 2024...
I want to say this is strange but throughout the many Ford's I have owned over the years, this is pretty common. I wish I had the screenshots from the other 2 visits to Ford's software page. The first time I logged in using the link from this thread, I got the "your truck hasn't been update in...
Separate and unrelated, these truck prices have gotten out of hand. I know I am preaching to the choir here since I just spent $67K-ish on my '24 King Ranch this past April but for the sticker to show $71K or $75K for an almost base 501 Lariat is crazy especially after Ford removed a lot of...
As other have said, CR isn't what it used to be. In the 80's and 90's, it was pretty good and their information was, for the most part, accurate. Nowadays, they are similar to JD Power and give awards and glowing reviews to whichever company pays the most. The Better Business Bureau does this...
I had written out a long thread but erased it. In short, my original thought was...
Way too little, way too late.
You, the OP, have been screwed and it appears you are asked to keep bending over. To ask you to keep running around getting quotes only to find out that your truck 1. has to...
