Had a 2013 F-150 with no issues for 5 years. Traded in for a 2018 F-150, no issues for 5 years, traded in for 2023 F-150 Limited. Big, big mistake!!!

2023 Limited ($80K+) truck has had way too many electrical and software gremlins!

Seems Ford is hiring software programmers based on the BS they put on their resume, NOT what the recent college grads can actually do. Ford... "OTAs are the way to get the latest software." No... OTAs are the way to fix what the incompetent Ford programmers couldn't do in the first place... write code that didn't break shit!
Sorry for the rant. Bought my 2023 Limited in Nov 23. It's been to the dealer 6 times (so far) for various alerts, warnings, DTCs, and weird shit. None of which could be replicated. Sorry, last Ford for me.

Appreciate the feedback. Truck is currently up to date with updates, but i just find it ridiculous that customers are having to spend money on new batteries because Ford uses cheap shit. Ford will definitely be paying for whatever is wrong unless they wanna get sued. Truck is brand spanking new and sure as hell its all covered under warranty
did you have someone run your vin?

i should buy my own battery and have them compensate me for it. I never once had a problem with my Ram trucks. First ever Ford and here we are lol
I feel you but until the 2025 Ramcharger comes out, no other truck can do the tech things that the PB can do. Older tech did not even come close to what tech can do now. With that new stuff comes issues. As model years go on they will be ironed out, but whenever a new generation comes out new issues can follow.

I have my eye on that 2025 Ramcharger but I would not even consider one until 2027 MY.

I got lucky with my 2022 (job 2) PB but there are still little quirks that I must deal with. The under charging battery is one of them.

Good luck with the PB or any decision you make.

I found that video years ago when my driver's window started bouncing back. It didn't fix the issue no matter how many times I tried to reset the sensor.
In the past I have also held the switch up until it bounced back, released it, then held it up again for up to 30 seconds. Works everytime for me... unfortunately I've had to do this several times since I've owned my truck

What I learned having my F150 for almost three years that all modern trucks are no longer ole good analogue vehicles but computers on wheels. In the digital world you can't find two machines with exactly the same behavior, all computers have their own "personalities" . All known fixes, patches, updates etc. work similar to prescription drugs for humans with different genetics, metabolism and underlying conditions. Some trucks show positive reaction to updates, fixes and patches, while some got no effect or side effects.

Your 14 gen Ford is just what the buyer asked for more technology to do things you yourself are fully capable of doing.

Now we the buyers are paying for bad info in bad info out.

Just like Fords asinine battery charging algorithm. Presently dealing with the spouses 19 Ford Escape battery, Vehicle charges the battery to only 25% because of time and age but mostly for CAFE #'s and fuel mileage gains to met those CAFE #'s. My modern digital battery charger charges the same battery to 75% and the battery hold that charge at 75% until the vehicle is driven which then lets the battery drain down to 25% and all extra function start to stop. (Same battery size as many new Gen 14 F150's or H-6)

Ford's answer new battery which is just a band-aid to cover up the fact at hand Ford's has a asinine battery charging algorithm.

When are we as consumers going to start a class action suit against FORD to stop this nonsense. We as consumers are being forced to buy new batteries to replace good batteries that are being charged with Ford's asinine charging algorithm.

Rant is over.

Didn’t work for me either. I have also never had a low battery. Bought a Noco right when I brought the truck home.

Hello Everyone, I am entering my 8th month with my 2023 Ford F-150 Lariat Powerboost and once again finding myself regretting this purchase. After spending 3 weeks at a dealership getting a new starter, alternator, and misc exhaust pieces replaced due to screeching sounds I find myself having to schedule another service appointment because Ford clearly doesnt care about quality control or the customer. I once again am getting low battery errors less than a month after being told all issues have been fixed. FordPass App features no longer work because of these low battery issues, i cant roll up my driver window without it rolling itself down on its own, i keep getting random trailer break failure messages (WHICH THEY SAID WAS FIXED) and am just sick of the experience i am getting in a truck that has less than 5K Miles. Sorry for the long rant but after such a shitty experience i dont think i will ever purchase a Ford product again.
I have the exact same truck (year and model). I keep mine on a smart charger if I am not going to drive it for a few days. It maintains the battery on float and have had no issues since. It's too bad we have to do this but there is just too much draw when the truck sits idle. By the way, what are the recommendation for the best replacement battery?

There’s software updates for the window bounce back. You likely haven’t gotten because of the low battery. The battery is a known issue, my 23’ has 14k on it and in starting to get the deep sleep mode as well. Putting it on a trickle charger is my current bandaid but a new non motor craft battery is what is needed. I too have the random trailer fault messages. Start with replacing the battery on your own dime and that should sort some of your problems out.
I've had the same window problem on my 21 PB. If you lower the window and then raise it up by holding the switch up and when it gets to the top hold it for a extra 5 seconds, then do the same when lowering it. Then try it, should do the truck. I Googled it when mine was doing that, worked for me, sorry to hear you are having so many issues with your truck. I have around 21k in mine and only real problem I had was a auxiliary transmission pump, took 2 months to get new one other than that love my trk, was even think of getting a 24.
