Do NOT do BCM update!! Headlight issues reported

I think it might be worth exploring an additional theory : taking a look at the trucks that had their lighting impacted by the latest BCM updates and taking a look at their as-built data, to see if perhaps the truck is telling the software it has a different type of lighting than it actually does. I would have no idea where to look, but maybe @Jesse-Infotainment or @antho have some insights.

jesse has already been through, the config is right. Replacing the lighting module fixed the issue. Somehow the module itself is getting corrupted.

I would be interested in looking through the update logs but i'm slammed with work and holiday stuff. For sure the weirdest thing i have seen and cant wrap my head around any explanation.

My 2022 f150 powersouce was a build and buy April 2021 ordered shipped May 6. Had the headlight issue after dealer updated BCM took them 3 days to figure it out
I told them go to this website they didn’t because as they said to me (you can’t trust those websites) so often 5 days they changed my headlight module
As a side note they gave me a 2021 f150 sport and the rear interior lights were on the full 5 days I had the truck

Well. Ford must have finally gotten the memo. They have pull the bcm update. Not only have they pulled it they have released an update rolling us all back to where we were.

so if you did the update there is a new update rolling you back to the exact point you were at beforehand

I dont know. I asked TjSpary to roll it back before he installs the new Module if he can.

BREAKING NEWS: The BCM update has been removed from FDRS, at least for my truck for now. I just checked this morning and it has disappeared. Mine is 2021 Job 1, Lariat 501A.

Body Control Module

Fancy word for the computer and logic that is controlling the fuses/relays in the big fuse panel located in the passenger footwell. It's a sophisticated power distribution system in one of these technology laden vehicles

I did BCM update after finally getting the APIM updated. Now I have the same issue, driver side LED is out and the interior lights stay on and flicker a bit. :\

Got another licensee for FDRS today to try to complete the update but it is gone. Saw a setting to run where you can roll back to the factory BCM firmware.... .ran that and still the same issue. Other than a trip to the service department, anyone have luck getting this reset?

What setting to roll it back? There is no such a setting

I'd have to look again, Ill fire it up and see exactly what I ran....
