It is fixed nowThanks bud. Yes he probably does. He goes way beyond the call of duty. That ABS update is always there. I do it each time and it never goes away. Not sure why.
Thank you !

For some reason the update goes away for some and not all. THE ACM update is another one that we do not need to perform unless you're doing the sub upgrade. Not sure why FORD pushed it out to everyone last year when it was not called for. Thanks bud. Yes he probably does. He goes way beyond the call of duty. That ABS update is always there. Yeah that one I did know about. I did do the kicker sub upgrade so I used that one. I do wish however that with that they had allowed some sort of on screen adjustment to the sub. Would be nice to kind of control it separately from the other speakers. For some reason the update goes away for some and not all. This BCM update was pulled a while ago, Coincidentally, another BCM update was just released in FDRS that seems to cause issues with the quad-light systems again. However, the OTA you got a few days ago did not include the BCM. Your truck is recording a DTC with the left light that was recorded for the first time when you started your truck after the OTA installed. The OTA updated the PSCM, CCM and IPMA. I'm not sure what's going on, but maybe the DTC code being recorded helps you sort it out.Sorry in advance to be the guy that posts old thread…
I’m wondering if there’s a chance that I have the “bad” BCM update referenced above. Is there a way to identify which BCM version is the one this thread was about and how do I determine which version I have.

Thanks in advance for any help!!
- I purchased my 2021 last Monday (2021 XLT, 302A, 5.0)
- OTA update installed Monday night
- Tuesday morning the driver’s side DRL LED was out
- Installed a new LED control module on the bottom of the light over the weekend
- Light appeared to be fixed for about 45 min, then went out again.
Have you done a LinBus initialization?Sorry in advance to be the guy that posts old thread…

I did a LIN initialization in FORScan after install.Have you done a LinBus initialization?
That is required with new modules. It is also required sometimes after BCM updates.
The code you have is not indicative of a bad module its a code for unconfigured module. The bcm verison you are reporting is OLD.. AAD. The newest is AAM and the previous one that caused issues was AAJ
Well Im just trying to help you with the current light issue. I dont suggest the update unless youre ok with the possible outcomeI did a LIN initialization in FORScan after install.
EIDT: Thoughts on BCM update? Open to installing it, butyourugedraw mentioned it may be causing light issues too??
My 2 day FDRS expires tonight. Will try a linbus when I get home. For my open module updates, would you skip them or install? I understand the risks, and won't blame you if something goes sideways. Just curious what you'd do on your truckWell Im just trying to help you with the current light issue. I dont suggest the update unless youre ok with the possible outcome
If you have FDRS do a linbus initialization.
I would do everything I can before the license expires except the BCM update. If history repeats itself like when the first bad BCM update came out, Ford will pull it from FDRS/OTA deployment and re-release it when it is fixed. My 2 day FDRS expires tonight. Big thank you to both you and @rugedraw !!

You guys are awesome! Thans for everything you do!Yes. I would do them all
I don't recall how long it took. I would not cancel in case you can't figure it out and play it by ear between now and then. You guys are awesome! Thans for everything you do!
If a linbus initialization happens not to fix it, how long did take Ford to pull back the last bad update & re-release a corrected one? Thinking about canceling my dealer appointment next week for my left light issue. Not sure I want them to "troubleshoot" it with a bad update in the wild.
