Has anyone actually reported these issues to Ford? The BCM update is still showing up in FDRS, so I suspect not.

Do we know for sure if the BCM update is safe for platinum with projector lights or should I stay away.
lll I can do is give real life experience. i cant guarantee. The three updates that were done all had the Active DSS headlamps. We all three did not have an issue. The issue originated from @TJSparky when he stated he had a Headlamp out after with a DTC. He ahs the Quad LED headlamp non active.

It was hard to make a correlation after that update. It did get my interest for sure. We worked through a lot of things. Then anotehr guy did the update and had the same exact issue. Thats when I made this post. Then @JDPEagle also had the exact same issue. JDP and The second person both are fixed but required hardware.

The only differences I see between the two is the active doesnt have a linbus at the BCM. So Its possible a bad config signal is being sent out during the linbus config.

I am only adding all of this to give context to the issue

If you have the Active DSS headlamps I have not seen an issue but it doenst mean there wont be.

So it may be best to wait for now.

I did last time and they kept it up also. Even after it was BRICKING trucks. They dont seem to care. They havent even acknowledged its happening from what I can see.

Throwing it out there… Is it possible that because every time you restart the truck, the Auto headlamps revert to auto, that before applying update, it is necessary to switch headlamps off? I am sure this has been thought of, but wondering if it is possibly associated with the headlamps running at time of update, rather than off, or vice versa…

Out of curiosity, if you have the Active DSS headlamps, is that called out on your window sticker? Are they standard, on say KR and above? Wanted to make sure I was clear on the lamps I have.

Gotcha, I've got a preowned 21 PB Plat, but nowhere on the sticker is Active DSS called out, so I was kinda worried. Either way, think I'll hold off on the BCM update until the dust settles...unless there's an urgent update on this module?

Don’t do the bcm update there have been twow people with headlamp issues now. One is maybe two is not good!! Same issue

I’ll need to look into it and see what the commonality was between the trucks!
I ave an a 2022 power source. Got a orange wrench on dash dealership updated bam now left headlight does not come on. I get turn signals. After dicking for two days they report that the headlight has a module behind the bulb and it’s fried so another day to order in

That is correct. If they updated BCM they will need to replace headlamp module
