Do NOT do BCM update!! Headlight issues reported

@Jesse-Infotainment i can’t get the 2nd. BCM to show up. It says the first is successful but it doesn’t go away from the software updates. I’ve run it multiple times now. Says it is update G2161053-10.0. Any ideas of what to try to get it to show the 2nd update?

I didn’t check the forum and did the update. Now my interior reading lights are all staying on. Anything that I could provide to assist in the troubleshooting? I have a 2021 PowerBoost with VIN 1FTFW1CD5MFB75327

How about you answer our questions here instead? We specifically asked you to request the software update change information from your engineering team. It would be great if you could actually do something useful rather than posting this generic message (which usually results in zero action anyway).

My truck was at the dealer for going into deep sleep and their fix was to do the BCM update. Now no low beams and interior lights stay on and flicker. Dropped it back off 40 mins after picking it up. Its a 21 lariat w/quad LEDs

they didn’t do the second half of the bcm update.

the bcm is two parts.

if they do the second half they will probably blow the headlamp up. It’s probably salable now but not if they do the second part. I wish I could get access to your truck.

The service writer looked in the system and it turns out the guy that did the oil change was the guy who did the update… I would think that would’ve been a separate tech dude….

Pardon the ignorance, but is BCM the Body Control Module? And is FDRS the software license agreement? I've been looking things up but just want to make sure.

Yes BCM is Body Control

Do we know for sure if the BCM update is safe for platinum with projector lights or should I stay away.
