Your truck was at dealer so long Ford OTA forgot it exists.
Ford has probably just written my truck off with how big its repair file has gotten. It is going back to the dealership again as soon as they get a service loaner back in for me. Maybe I can get them to run the updates for me as a goodwill gesture.

Or just wait for it to come OTA in 3 years.
They're several revisions deep in the latest software that's released for the 21s. The fact it's now in FDRS for select years (again) indicates it's at least OTA'd to their private fleet without issue. Just a matter of time before reports start coming in of OTAs showing up in the beta program. At the same time there's 2025 model year code in the F150's new IPMA update. (I suspect a 1.3 OTA is coming soon and the 1.5 OTA will be a small "patch" to avoid another IPMA OTA).

The F150 fleet is much larger than the MME fleet so they've got to be more cautious with the far larger pool of vehicles as bricking even a fraction of a percent is still a large number. Their panic pull from the original 1.4 OTA that was bricking cars is when the OTAs slowed down -- which was nearly a year ago already. They've since seemed to pick back up with modules other than the IPMA being pushed so it was clearly an over-reaction. The BC rollup was 3 or 4 modules in one go which appears to have been a bad idea. Lesson learned I guess.

The MME software stack that's superseded the original 1.4 release is at least 2 versions newer. Both F150 and MME 1.4 are ACJ, 2024 F150s have ABG, while the expedition is BAE. The MME's latest is BAE as well whereas the absolute newest on the F150 is BBC. The odd part is ford calls BAE BC 1.0 in the expedition, but also BAE is 1.3 in the MME -- essentially meaning that we can't draw any correlation between their marketing and the systems capability (lane centering ability -- really the only thing that matters IMO). The other features can be turned on if desired, or just whinged about (the latter of which seems to be an internet favorite)

I went on the Expedition forum to see if anyone on BAE wanted to try and enable the new BC features and got crickets. Nobody knows me there, so I was not surpised no one wanted to listen to the guy with a brand new account and 2 posts about how they can magically enable the new BC, so I can't blame them for ignoring me. lol

BC is only on the platinums, it's just assist 2.0 otherwise so the pool is very small to begin with.

Small as the pool may be, they whine about it there like they do on every other forum.

First thing I thought of when I saw it. It greatly appeases my immaturity.
I’m new here and don’t want to be booted so soon as there’s a bunch of good carbon based life forms here

That definitely sounds like a Saturday afternoon beer drinking kind of update.
I did a 'Wednesday night while my kids were sleeping and I was sippin' on scotch'' kind of update.

Sunday football kind of update. I gain nothing from it though since I don't have Bluecruise. I love how 1.3 whatever it is fixed the annoying weave in adaptive cruise though. It is like a whole new truck.

Did the new IPMA/PSCM update. Aside fromt he typical 3 hour long process, all went well. I haven't had a chance to road test BC and probably won't until Sunday to see if I notice anything different.
Looking forward to the report. Hopefully this gives us more improvements. It's already way better than it was to start with.

Trying to help out a local guy here and I've looked and looked and looked, now have a headache?

Would some kind person please remind me which SYNC version and rev. is the one that gets stuck and, when fixing via FDRS, needs the USB stick left in for potentially a month? I promise to write it down for the future ?

If the sync version is blank, 20262, 20301 or 20312 and auto updates cannot be turned on, then the long term USB trick is required.

If it is on any of those sync versions, but you can still turn auto updates on (very rare...... only seen this happen once that I can recall), then the USB update will take right away within minutes without having to wait.
