Leaving the name blank also works. That’s what I do.Have you labeled the stick? If so...needs to be short ...like Ford Sync and exFat format

I got one of those and it doesn't work!Ironically I have a Samsung thumb drive that I have been using for both of the Powerboosts I have owned, and now the Mach-E.
I carry it in my left pocket everyday everywhere. Not to be mixed in with the 10 other thumb drives in the backpack.

So I don't think brand differentiation is the whole story.
Make/model/firmware.....?
I do know our vehicles can be picky about such things.
I thought of you when he posted that. The funny thing is, I have the same exact 64GB Samsung drive and I've done all my updates on it with no issues. lolI got one of those and it doesn't work!

Hey folks, my day job exposes me to all kinds of issues with PC I/O. I highly recommend updating the PC per its manufacturer, this is separate from Windows Updates that should also be incorporated. Think of it as doing to the PC what we are trying to do with FDRS
Android Auto functioning is not a 100% guarantee that the USB hub isn't the issue, but it certainly vouches for the culprit to be elsewhere.Android auto via cable is working fine
Means the USB Port is okay
Might try a traditional USB stick instead. It shouldn't matter, but who knows. I've had weird errors trying to do updates over USB and had to use CAN bus instead. Prepare for hours of fun if that is the case.Today, I tried MicroSD card with USB reader
the vehicle started updating without "This USB is not supported" message After 3-4 minutes, I got below error
One thing I noticed is when you format the drive, choose "Restore Default settings." If the drive automatically chooses something other than “exFAT” as the format, it may not work well. Even if you manually change it to "exFAT" it may not function properly for FDRS.I tried 3 devices:
SanDisk 64GB flash drive,ASUS SSD 512GB and SD reader XD
None of them worked for me
