Similarly a bit of grace on the simplified Q = i x t. It makes the point without getting into integrals.
To take things further, though, you need an ever increasing voltage to charge the supercapacitor (so a huge, massively ranged boost converter), but to draw from it you need a massively ranged buck converter to drop the voltage to a level that won't toast your engine electronics and make your passengers' hair frizzy.

Yessir..I monitor everything...for almost 2 years...my Main battery and Aux battery stay between 15.1v and 13.4 v now..

My main battery is still the orginal stock one too..

Where do you find the aux battery PIDs for OBDMX+?

Haven't seen one. The main batt uses a shunt, whereas the aux uses a current transformer. My suspicion is that they're combined but when in a position to test such I did not. You can monitor DC/DC output as well as the primary value. It should be pretty obvious for an LFP aux truck to see if this is the case as the LFP will eat up current whereas the primary AGM remains full. If the typical 12v battery current is registering decent current input upon fan 5 truck start, it's monitoring/registering both. I rarely keep the other phone that does PID monitoring in the truck. I do primary monitoring w/ forscan outputting CSV files, and that's only when I care to typically around performance stuff.

Most drives I don't really care. I can burn hours doing monitoring and not really achieve anything but more questions.

The main reason I ask is because in tank’s post I quoted from, the two yellow gauges say main battery and aux battery. It would be awesome to replicate that.

It shows 2 different voltages. There is no discrete aux batt voltage sensor. It connects directly to the primary 12v bus in the BCMC. During normal operation, the under-hood AGM, the Aux batt, and the DC/DC are all connected to the primary 12v bus

The 'charging system' is crossed out as that's the other starter, has nothing to do with charging. That part is also deleted in 24+ PBs

The same current sensor used for the 2kW PPOB system is used to monitor the Aux batt's current so it could be the same PID?

Where do you find the aux battery PIDs for OBDMX+?
It's under Module Voltage..because that is what the Aux battery powers..

I'm getting remote features disabled fordpass alerts multiple times a week now even with fan at 5 and a 16mile/30min commute twice a day during the week.

Is it more likely the 3+ year old aux batt or main batt or both need replacement or just grab a noco and try to repair both or just do another bms reset and see how long I can drag out these factory batts ?

Truck was in the body shop near to a month in frequent single digits. Gave the body shop guy grief getting it started, so he replaced the batt with another of identical part #. Thing is, whatever wear the underhood batt went through, same for the one under the seat. So, now I'm wondering if it was damaged and how to know?

Once I got it home, I charged to the terminals and did the BMS reset, so everybody is starting as fresh as I can make them but still ...

I guess if it starts giving me grief, I'll disconnect the small batt and take readings.

Did ya ever figure out why the BMS reset worked so well on our trucks but not on others?

This is my exact unit but they've since come out with a more powerful one.

Haven't had to use the regeneration mode on the truck yet but it has helped extend the life of several other batteries. In my old Class B, Garden tractors, boat etc. I just replaced a garden tractor batt that was 11 years old. Before I got this, I was lucky to get 3-4. It either works or it doesn't. 50:50 ish as to success rate.

I have both a 1amp NOCO and a 5amp
NOCO.
I use the 5A on the truck, the 1a takes care of my Toyota.

I prefer to use the low amp models to maintain a battery

If the main and aux batts are on the same bus, does using one of these chargers on the main also heal the aux at the same time or do you have to trickle both batts separately ?
