Fair enough. I'm not sure turning off the welcome lighting, turns off the other key fob power sucks though.

You can test that easily enough. Since you've turned them off, let the truck sit for a while (30 mins?) with the fob away from the truck, 10-20'. Then move the fob to the truck. If you hear any clicks etc. I don't think you've accomplished much by turning off the lights.
I just tried, silence. Didn't hear any clicks or anything. (and I know what you mean, I heard it before)
Will try again in a little bit to be sure.

From what I've read, it's those power running boards that crash my voltage any/every time I wake the truck.

According to the voltmeter logs, the recovery takes about 30-60 minutes. But after each shock, the recovery voltage is a bit less.

My Powerboost has the benefit of running ProPower for a little while almost every day that I'm camping. That 1-2 hours of recharging my RV batteries gives a nice 14V charge session. Of course I have to leave the FOB in the truck and the doors closed, as well as the HVAC fan at 5

Why fob in the truck? Is it not charging the battery when propower is running without the fob in the cab?
And why fan at 5?

If the FOB is not in the truck, and/or the fan speed is below 5, the DC/DC converter can and often does drop to ~12.7V

Batt V at 12.66. So, I don't think there is anything wrong with my batteries, or any excessive drain in the truck. Its just that I likely don't drive it often enough and when I do, its most commonly short trips. So for me, the onboard charger makes sense. I'll continue to loosely monitor it until anything gets glitchy, or issues a warning and then I'll plug it in and note that here.

I didn't know that about the fob and PPOB.

Must not have crossed a threshold for my truck, because I've run it as long as 12hrs straight and have never left the fob in the truck.

Tried again this morning, sneaking up on her from behind, passenger side this time. No sound whatsoever.
The truck is unlocked, could that make a difference? Will try again when locked.

But looks like more than just these welcome lights are disabled when you turn them off?

All of these little things I need to remember on the campsite. Maybe I just need to take you with me.

I'm a grandpa 90% of the time I am camping. And that's just a way to describe that I'm in observer mode mostly.
Just Watching little people.

I find them far more appealing than grown-ups, if you know what I mean. 😁

Blush. 😁

If it wasn't for the little ones, I'd be a sour old widower feeling sorry for myself and ranting about....... Well, all kinds of things. Lol

I got 9 of them!
And I can honestly say my best friend in the whole world is 7. Or at least she says I am hers.

My brother has one like that.

Every time she is over, she is asking Grandpa what project they'll be doing that day.

She especially likes to help him work on, or with his Terramite (little loader, backhoe).

Grandma is less enthused about her coming back full of grease.

Unplugged since Monday at 1:00 p.m. One short trip to town, the other day.

Batt V = 12.56. Truck has been undisturbed since the last reading so, 0.1V drop in ~48hrs.

At that rate, I could go from fully charged @12.6, to needing charging and probably issuing warnings, @12.1, in 10 days.

I can't plan to not drive it that long, so there is some guess work in that.

We shall see.
