I was surprised at the negativity of many posters..and the fact so many piled on. I mean this was the FIRST time a Granger customer said he was not happy about anything. So very many dealerships routinely get slammed and for good reason. Let's just not even consider pricing. It's just a plain fact it's almost impossible to buy out the door as low a price new truck as Granger has sold many of us here. Don't forget they are as transparent as you can get on fees. Many dealerships SAY a low price but add all kinds of 'fees' so the amount financed is way more..
And even if it was not purchased at Granger the emailed quote they sent many of us here has saved members of the forum many thousands of dollars. I just don't understand all the hate. A bad truck was put on the transport..Yes it was. Communication was poor.. probably. But compared to ANY OTHER dealership in the US Granger has exceeded expectations..
By all means patronize Granger in the future, it's your money. But don't defend their reputation by the 999/1000 stories of satisfied customers you and I know they have. This 1/1000 case tells me all I need to know, and I wish it did you too.

Order your next truck from Granger and have it delivered, by all means. It's your truck and your money. Play the odds. Post up here if you have any issues. I'll be in your corner if you do. Won't even say I told you so.

I'm convinced there's a decent number of people on here that just hate Ford and try to do anything they can to rag on them or their dealerships.
My buddy. After 2 months you've got a great handle on the gen14 F150 community, I applaud that. Don't mean to seem like I'm trolling you but slow your roll. We all drive the same truck around here and only a the dipshits have an agenda, which is pretty much nobody.

The general manager from Granger called me yesterday and said that the owner spoke with the local body shop that I got an estimate from. They’re going to pay the bill for the paint work and submit the bill to ford for reimbursement. Ford told me that they’d pay for a rental, but I have to pay for it upfront and they’ll reimburse me later. The vehicle has to be a Ford product. I contacted Enterprise yesterday and they don’t stock Ford vehicles locally. The branch manager said that she could try to get one, but it may take a few weeks. The body shop said that they’ll need the truck for approximately 30 days.

How is that worse?

I saw a leftover 2022 F-150 with huge globs of paint on front fender by the side badges at local dealer. I remember seeing that and thinking how could this leave the plant with no one noticing.
People are blind I guess.

I hope it gets resolved to your satisfaction, but hard to know how it will go with a repaint job.

Does he have to use Enterprise?

Other than that, I don't necessarily see the problem.

A few weeks ago I had my 2022 Platinum to the local dealer for three days of warranty work. They arranged a rental for me through the local Enterprise, and the dealer took care of the billing without any payment on my part. Granger should be responsible for covering the cost and then seeking reimbursement from Ford, not you.

It's completely unreasonable for them to expect you to cover 30 days of rental expenses. How soon do you think you'll be reimbursed after submitting the necessary documentation? 4-6 weeks, while interest accrues and some of your credit capacity is tied up? Possibly even longer? :curse:

Sorry, not good enough for me. The truck will never be right after tearing it all down and putting it back together post paint job. If you have the financial means to do so, cut your losses and start over with another truck/brand. Ford and Granger have done you dirty and you shouldn't accept half measures as the fix (unless financially you're stuck). Keep us posted!

If you do try another brand, may I recommend it not be Ram, at least for a while?

I got 5% off invoice at my local dealer in May without any back and forth, so what Granger is offering is nothing special. Ford dealers cannot sell these trucks in any sort of timely fashion. Many are about to have three model years of them for sale on their lots when the MY25s start arriving. The pricing has just made them unattainable for many.

As far as Granger, they should be ashamed of themselves for the way they have treated this customer. There's no way to spin it. This is just piss poor customer service. For an investment of this magnitude, he should be getting another truck. Plain and simple.

This may have already been suggested, but I would look to get the local or mainstream TV news media involved in this. I would not feel the same about this truck with all the "known" issues and then having to wait for now "months" for it to be made right which it will never be in my eyes and some of it at your own expense. For me, I would demand a buy back and possibly get legal representation if I kept getting unsatisfactory responses.

Several news groups have consumer advocacy reporters. I seen quick resolution of things once these reporters get involved on behalf of the consumer and the offending person, party or company gets exposed on TV news. This may work for you as the people acting wrongly in these disputes usually do not want this kind of negative publicity out for consumption by the general public, especially if it's a well known company--bad for brand, bad for reputation and bad for sales.

If Ford will not take this truck back, than I would get the TV media and even the vehicle related popular internet influencers involved to put pressure on Ford and/or other responsible parties to do so, especially as it seems that you aren't the only one whose new Ford vehicle has these defects and the public needs to know that Quality is "no longer" Job #1 at Ford as they are sending out (crap) bad batches of unfinished new vehicles with these "unacceptable" defects. Ford is showing their hand here, they "aint" standing behind their products.

I feel for you man. Not the new vehicle buying experience one would want or expect.

I chatted with TK from TK’s Garage over the weekend.
