Hi all, I just drove my truck and got a message on the center screen about a pcm update relating to on board diagnostics downloading. Says it improves on board diagnostics to help my engine perform to specifications, whatever that means. Anybody know what this one is about?

Try taking it to another dealer. There are plenty of accounts on here of people getting their trucks worked on for rough shifting, meaning the dealer considered it an issue.

That is very true. However, ford can't count on a dealership NOT giving a rental. When this happens, it increases the cost to ford for a defect pretty substantially. That's what I was getting at earlier.

I think my '24 did the same thing once when it had less than 2000 miles on it. Misfire at idle, but no cel. Found a pending code that mentioned number 1 cylinder deactivation solenoid. Never has done it again.
