  1. 3.5 turbo let run ?

Because theory and airplanes. And you're ignorant, too.
  2. Ford’s freezing windows

It's been pretty cold here in North central Iowa lately and I've never had any of those issues with my 2024.
  3. 3.5 turbo let run ?

Wait, are you telling us that ford actually thought about the powerboost shutting off? You really don't have to outsmart the pcm strategy? I dunno, trusting them to have considered that sounds, kinda, I dunno, ignorant.
  4. 3.5 turbo let run ?

He's not ignorant because he disagrees with you.
  5. Any idea what the latest pcm module update is?

Well, mine has it now I guess. I went ahead and let it download it.
  6. Any idea what the latest pcm module update is?

Hi all, I just drove my truck and got a message on the center screen about a pcm update relating to on board diagnostics downloading. Says it improves on board diagnostics to help my engine perform to specifications, whatever that means. Anybody know what this one is about?
  7. Why would I keep my f150

I'm guessing excessive power isn't one of those things...
  8. 2023 Purchased New Battery Dies Today - Thanks Ford !

This right here, especially the middle paragraph. I found out while doing research for a project I did at work that cranking amps and overall energy storage capacity are somewhat at odds with each other in lead acid batteries. Batteries with many thin plates tend to be able to produce large...
  9. Why would I keep my f150

Try taking it to another dealer. There are plenty of accounts on here of people getting their trucks worked on for rough shifting, meaning the dealer considered it an issue.
  10. Why would I keep my f150

There may soon be a really nice, well appointed 2025 ram with only 1100 miles for sale in or near Humboldt, IA. Just gotta get the lemon law case I have on it finished and ram will have to buy it back. It's a black laramie and it's NICE. They might even be able to fix it by now, I haven't had...
  11. I Agree With Farley - Dealerships need to change

That is very true. However, ford can't count on a dealership NOT giving a rental. When this happens, it increases the cost to ford for a defect pretty substantially. That's what I was getting at earlier.
  12. I Agree With Farley - Dealerships need to change

Ok homeboy, drop the dick act and actually THINK about what I posted. You'll figure it out.
  13. I Agree With Farley - Dealerships need to change

Sure there is, when a defective vehicle is sold and a rental is paid for because the defective vehicle is now getting fixed. Cheaper now?
  14. Loss of acceleration. Mine is a2021 poweboost and it happens mostly in turns

Wow, stupid AND an asshole, that's a bad combination in a technician.
  15. Cylinder Deactivation Solenoid Failure

I think my '24 did the same thing once when it had less than 2000 miles on it. Misfire at idle, but no cel. Found a pending code that mentioned number 1 cylinder deactivation solenoid. Never has done it again.
  16. New GM 5.7 V8, 5.3 being discontinued

Buddy of mine at work has an '04 tahoe. That 5.3 that makes no sense has 430,000 miles on it. He's had it since it had about 150k on it. There's no sign a valve cover has ever been off it. He keeps religious maintenance records on it, down to when transfer case and axle oils have replaced...
  17. 2024 5.0 F150, Vehicle may not start/restart. Service now.

I know this is an older thread, but this has happened a couple of times with my truck. It was always when I was starting it. It would not engage the starter, and the message popped up. Turning the key off and then trying to start it again gives no trouble, it starts right up without any weird...
  18. XLT to Become "ACTIVE"???

Is there an ev battery state of charge level below which the active badge changes to say inactive?
  19. Do RCSBs come equipped with a 7-Pin trailer connector?

I have a '24 rcsb and it came with a 7 pin. I paid a shop to add an aftermarket trailer brake controller, it took them about 45 minutes and the total bill was just about exactly $200.
  20. If Ford called you tomorrow asking for one design change… what are you telling them

No, it's not a sliding window. I figured that's what you meant, I was just being sneaky.
