Anyone else have this issue? I now have my F-150, a Transit, and a Super Duty all exhibiting this. Any time it gets below freeze the windows lock up and you need to open the door in the drive thru etc….

I remote start all these trucks, let them warm up before me or my guys drive them. Why am I the only one getting my coffee that has to open my door because my windows won’t roll down? These are all brand new trucks besides my 2023 which is still rather new. Poor weather stripping? My dad said his 3500 Chevy never freezes shut. Mild annoyance but just feels like something we shouldn’t be dealing with on new trucks in 2025….and the 2025 truck latches on the doors keep freezing and the door won’t clasp shut. Ford really seems to have issues keeping water out of the windows/door mechanisms.

WD40 in your window tracks, and door latch, will be your bestie at the coffee shop. A little bit goes a long ways! Enjoy that coffee!

It's been pretty cold here in North central Iowa lately and I've never had any of those issues with my 2024.

WD40 is not a lubricant.

Not Fords fault, you probably live in a high humidity area.

"WD" in WD-40 stands for Water Displacement, referring to its primary function of pushing water off surfaces to prevent rust and corrosion, a property perfected on the 40th attempt by its inventor in 1953 for protecting the Atlas Missile, making it a versatile lubricant, penetrant, and moisture remover. It works by using a special blend of agents (like surfactants and oils) that "unstick" water from metal, allowing the spray to remove it and leave a protective film.

Yup, stolen from AI...

Mine do the same, I use STP silicone spray in the gasket, it works great.

12 degrees here in Michigan last night, no freezing windows issues here. Had it happen after washing the truck on the way home from work and then sat overnight once.

I wouldn’t use plain WD40 on the rubber window seals as it does contain some petroleum products which aren’t good for (relatively) softer (non-oil resistant rubber) like window tracks. Same for Fluid Film. I think both these products are great for the right application. For example I carefully undercoated my Jeep with Fluid Film 10 years ago and it is still (mostly) rust free. The only product that would keep the sensor in my old Excursion from showing that the door was open after using any car wash was by spraying WD-40 into the internal latch area. For window rubber I’d use a silicon or something like Aerospace 303 Protectant .
