My tool is attached to my jack.

I just checked again and it’s not attached to the jack either. I wonder if the pry tool got eliminated because of the release cord in the fender well.

So is it just the hybrids that have a locking door?

Well, now I'm a little jealous. Why shouldn't the others lock as well? Does the fuel's value increase that much more when it's pumped into the tanks of the hybrids? :ROFLMAO: lol

Don't worry, it's more about sealing than about locking. A thief is going to just drill the tank anyway. The easy fill filler prevents the ability to siphon gas from the filler.

Is that what the cable is that hangs down in my driver rear wheel well?! Now I want to yank on it to see…

I guess if you don't have one you could just get a trim removal tool and use that? Just my 2 cents?‍♂

I have both on my 21. My tool was in my glove box, not on the jack

Funny thing is if you search online about it you'll just find bunch of people complaining because their fuel doors don't lock. We know a lock won't stop thieves but I'm just confused why all hybrid have locks. Seems a weird thing to demand in legislation. ?‍♂

I didn't get one with my truck, when I asked the dealer they told me Ford no longer includes it and the solution is the pull cable in the wheel well. Not sure if it's true or just the excuse to not have to replace it. I didn't much care since there was a solution and at least for me I prefer the cable as it's less prone to getting lost.

2021 F-150 King Ranch PowerBoost - no longer have this.
I've got a '24 KR Hybrid and there is nothing in the owner's manual about it. Must be another cost-cutting measure by Ford. Sure hope the fuel door opens every time I need it to. Has anyone ever had it malfunction on earlier models...?
Very shortly after I purchased my 2021 mine would not open. Got it to the dealer and they did some sort of adjustment and no problems in the several years since.

I have the pry tool, but no pull cord. Looks like we get one or the other.

I have a 23 with no pry tool. I don't remember seeing a pull cable when I was installing my inner fender wells, but I imagine it's probably there.
