Commuter vehicles in the US only contribute around 3% of global airborne pollutants every year. All these regulations are just for optics and make a negligible difference, but make things worse for the folks buying these vehicles.
Chevy seats are a weird one… they feel awful when you first sit in them (every time). BUT, hours can go by and, your back is fine… “these seats seem uncomfortable but… actually aren’t” kind of situation
I crossed shopped these too and ended up getting the Les Schwab Mazama Open Range A/T Plus tires. Wet grip is significantly better than the stocks, KO2’s, duratracs, and AT4’s that I’ve used previously.
Made by Sumitomo, who manufactures Falken and Dunlop, and the Mazamas use a different...
I’ve had a flawless experience for the last nearly 3 years. I’ll be getting another one if/when this one wears out. Never had a better overall vehicle.
My seats in my 23 have no wear and are very comfortable after ~2 years and 20k miles. 6’ 160lbs here.
I wonder if the 22’s suffered from covid supply issues and didn’t get the same foam or something. Regardless I’m sorry to hear you’ve had comfort issues!
Lightning’s are lease vehicles. You can get outrageous deals on them right now (like <500 a month with 0 down). They ride nicer, drive nicer, and are more comfortable. BUT:
- Their value absolutely plummets, talking 20-30k in the first year of ownership
- range isn’t good
- towing isn’t...
I’d say you need to find a different dealer (or go to a different type of battery). I had battery issues too, 18 months ago… haven’t had an issue since, even valet parking it for 5 days in freezing temps. Also PB.
FWIW, you can’t see anything out of a Ram, and the Chevy’s feel dog slow in...
Not to be a contrarian here but it moreso sounds like a boot issue. My shoes and boots are constantly wet where I live, and have never had a pedal slip. I agree that some grip tape would possibly be the best fix here
The auto window bounce is real common. Mine fixed itself when I got a new battery, and there’s OTA updates to fix it.
People also commonly report a loss of power due to wonky traction control tuning, there are ENORMOUS threads on this issue here on the forum, and I think some folks have even...
Are you planning on mounting stuff on to the topper? If not, I would also go with fiberglass, Leer/Century/etc.
My century topper never missed a beat, including some serious off-roading in my old truck.
Had a ZR2, and have friends with gen 2 and gen 3 raptors. The regular, non-FX4 trucks are not floaty. Just buy either package, and if you don’t like the suspension after a full year in all seasons, toss something else under there.
I too just want second gear. GIVE IT TO ME FORD! I don’t want to hammer the throttle at a green light just to see more than every other gear and that weird CVT-feeling third gear
My guess is that the transfer case is mechanically locked in to 4WD when you turn the truck off. Still locked in when it comes back on. I also have an XLT and it does the same thing.
