Is anyone missing the emergency fuel door release pry tool?

I know there is that release cord in the rear wheel well. This video says there is also an emergency release pry tool behind the passenger side rear seat next to the fuel funnel.

I have to funnel but no release pry tool. Is anyone missing it too?

That fuel door setup looks like they may have changed it from the 2022. The 22 has the pin on the door and that is MegaOhm makes in metal for a replacement. That vid shows the pin on the truck.

Pin is on the truck because they popped it off when the pry tool was used.

Powerboost trucks have the locking fuel door, with button on the dash to open it. Its a requirement for a hybrid system.

Oops! I forgot a truck. Duh! Now I remember questioning why my hybrid fuel door locked.

Looks like once you install the billet pin you are really screwed if you do need to open the door. The plastic pin is made to pop off, that billet pin looks like it's not going to pop off without doing some damage to the door.

You can just replace the pin. Part number ML3Z-6500-D ($7.50). They are made to pop out.

Good to know you can still pop the door open with the billet pin. Just wondered what would be damaged since there's no give, unlike the ford pin.

I've got a '24 KR Hybrid and there is nothing in the owner's manual about it. Must be another cost-cutting measure by Ford. Sure hope the fuel door opens every time I need it to. Has anyone ever had it malfunction on earlier models...?
