Inverter use ~ 3 gallons over 8 hours

I'm not an electrician but would like to understand . . . Is this a complicated procedure or is it just moving or reversing wires from one connection to another? Thanks!

Only if the AC or pump are not 240 volt. If they are, moving to the "other" phase will not help. If they are 120 volt, them move either one to the next buss bar. This should balance the load in the panel and may help to stop tripping the breaker.

Both my well pump and geothermal system are 240 volt. The 7.2 KW would run my system as I need both running to heat or cool the house.

I like the Bluetooth feature of the MicroAir. I recently replaced the start/run capacitor for my Bryant preemptively because I noticed an increase in peak and running Amps. I went with Florida made Amrad brand capacitor. Less than $50 and reduced the peak by 15A and the running by 5A. Why in the world have I been letting capacitors just run to fail all these years? ?‍

Get same power out of a $1k generator and most likely less fuel usage. Not knocking the PB though I was all onboard until reading about issues. Had to buy a generator this year due to frequent 12+ hour outages.

I’m fortunate to have a friend who is a very successful electrician and sells generac and I could easily obtain a decent generator.
My only point was (poorly stated) that in my case the powerboost would more than likely exceed my needs. My house is only 900 sq. ft. with no central air or any such item that would be a large draw or have a large starting amperage.

Here too except I do have central air. PB could easily run my house with proper transfer switch.

Don't get me wrong, if I'm without power I'm willing to plug into whatever is going to run the lights and AC. But a 7KW quality (quiet/efficient) generator is going to be more expensive than PPob. And I hauled a nice 50% (3000KW) Yamaha inverter around the country with me for a few years. It was a heavy beast.

I have a Westinghouse 9500DF that does exactly what I want it to. Sit on a pad and run the house on gasoline or propane until commercial is restored. $999 on Amazon. I don't think of them as competing but rather as complimentary parts of my overall emergency power strategy.

If I had natural gas to the house I'd have gone the Generac route. 22kW with auto transfer switch and wifi connection. Weekly automatic runs scheduled etc.

In my case, I’d go with the powerboost (or lightning). I don’t have natural gas to the house and my house is relatively small. Alas, the tremor does not come with the juice. I’m ok with that.
