How long is the factory battery good for?

I have a 2022 f150 bought new in May 2023. How long would the battery be replaced under warranty? I drove the truck about 25 miles today at noon and got a "remote features disabled to save battery warning by 5pm. I really think a battery should last more than 2yrs. Would a dealer replace it for free?

You should be good for three year 36,000 mile
Some of these batteries have died in a year some of lasted four years.
Personally, these batteries are complete garbage, quite a few factory batteries are

My previous motorcraft battery in my other Ford has been replaced 5 times in a year and a half. So I don't have high hopes for my F150 to last longer than a year

My first battery was replaced under warranty. I just exited the 3/36k and now only have the ford service plan.

Rather than deal with the dealer though, I am just going to buy the H8 Costco battery and call it a day.

Well how about a 7 month life? Went out yesterday afternoon to do errands, opened the door and got three dings and sign "parking brake failure" before the screen went dead. Dealership bent over backwards to fix! Service manager came to the house, decided the battery had failed, called the store and had a guy bring out a new battery! Need to find out what is going on with premature failures of the gel cells? Never ina million years would I anticipate such a short life!

On another note.... the 1993 F-150 battery was replaced 10 years and 8 months after I bought the truck. It was replaced not because it failed, because it was so old!

My ‘18 which I gotta in the fall of ‘17 is still going strong 150k miles later. What I have learned is these AGM batteries need longer charge cycles rather than lots of short trips. I drive 35 miles each way to work so the battery gets fully charged each trip. At least it’s worked great for my driving habits

Lots to read on this site about about AGM batteries. The short version is they do not do well with mostly short trips and require either longer trips or a charger to maintain battery life. AGM batteries also charge differently than a lead acid battery. I charge mine disconnected for about 6hrs whenever I get the “Remote Features Disabled“ notification. I also do the reset on the battery monitoring system. I ve load tested the battery several times and it passes every time after a full charge.

I put a H8 AGM battery in my 2022 and all my low state of charge issues have gone away.

What's the point? Just replace it with a quality aftermarket battery and stop worrying and avoid downtime.

batteries are a crap shoot some get 5yrs and others get 2yrs before replacing. I go no longer than 3yrs

I had mind replaced because it went bad at 11K

A lot of variables, temps, charge cycles, etc... A good AGM should average 6-7 years.
