Unless I missed something, CAFE penalties were changed to $0 for most everything via the BBB, not administratively. So to change it back would require inclusion in a bill.
however, since the BBB was passed via reconciliation, it would be a lower threshold than traditional senate passage...
Low power mode is when the interior lights do not turn on when you open the doors, no approach lighting, back up chime is played through the console speaker instead of the radio speakers, no app control, plus the truck does lots of weird things like desync phones randomly, trip computer resets...
You’re fortunate. I had the truck constantly in low power mode on the original battery - meaning, no remote start, no approach lighting, no interior lighting when you open the door, all vehicle sounds( door chimes, back up beeping) were through the back up speaker in the dashboard, and more...
Don’t focus on Value Engineered solutions to make your mid-managers bonuses. Those VE decisions cheapen every part of the truck and make it feel like corners were cut.
carpets cut too low, cheap plastic, using pressure fittings instead of metal fasteners/screws, lack of support for sunroof so...
Well, it rides..like a truck.
Factory shocks are terrible at off road, imo. Too soft at speed on a sandy/rocky road the truck bounces and tracks way more than even the decent fox 2.0 suspension.
Interesting. Even with 34.5” E rated tires I still get comments on how smooth my truck rides - and I also have the fox 2.0 kit.
But stock these trucks have too soft of shocks imo. Body roll is off the charts. The Fox kit helped make the ride more enjoyable all around vs factory.
All it does is get stuck in the down position and make your ground clearance terrible.
I unbolted the system from my bumper and all is well with the world now.
Most professional folks time is worth about $150/hr. So if you’ve spent 2 hours between scheduling service, driving to the dealership, posting on here about it…spend the $300 for the H8 battery and move on.
I had one battery replaced under warranty and the second failed after about 6 months. I...
This is the first vehicle I have owned with recurring low battery issues. Had one battery replaced under warranty and the issue returned with the made in China h6 that ford uses.
Save yourself
Save yourself a ton of time and effort and just go buy an upgraded/larger battery from NAPA (or wherever you want). I went NAPA H8 and it solved so many of the low power issues.
And I just disconnected the ford pass app and don’t miss it at all. Not worth the data harvesting...
I would assume it was because they were studying how to monetize each function separately.
Like Ford Base is $5/month and gets you remote start
Ford Gold at $10/mo gets you Base plus ability to see you subscription level.
Ford All Access is $20/mo and gets you remote lighting, Pro power, et...
