I like my vehicles to remain original so I would never remove the factory air dam. 3 years in and mine still looks and functions as designed. I expect it will last as long as I keep the truck. Same with the under engine / trans fiber splash pans. I acknowledge that both can be damaged if driving and service is not done with proper care.

No, there is an access port but I haven't used it yet.

If your truck came with the snow plow package then it wouldn't have the active air dam from the factory. Otherwise my guess is someone removed it.

All it does is get stuck in the down position and make your ground clearance terrible.

I unbolted the system from my bumper and all is well with the world now.
