So I just mentioned this as a comment in another thread but wanted to make a post for recommendations.

I had a 2021 Lariat and leveled that truck with Fox suspension on all four corners with the Fox 2.0 up front. Everyone said how much better than stock they were in the forums. The first bump I hit I was VERY disappointed and every time I drove my family for the next two years it was not a comfortable experience. The suspension was incredibly stiff. That truck got totaled. I want to level my new 2022 but don’t know what suspension to use up front and am scared to trust people’s opinions after the Fox’s I had BUT I hope to get some feedback for just the front level kit that will keep a soft ride and dare I say, close to factory. I just like the look of a leveled truck.

Just do a front puck level to keep your factory ride. Add bilstein 5100's to the rear. The amount of level will depend on what size tire you're going with. If 35's, you'll need a 2.5" puck. My truck is a powerboost, 2.5" puck, removed the factory rear block, put in a 2" block to gain some rake back, wheels are close to factory offset with a +31. If you go with a 35×12 tire, you won't rub with a little bit of trimming the front air damn.

This seems like a good option, saving money and keeping the feel I like. I probably won’t get bigger tires. Honestly I just want to raise the front around 1.5” as I think that looks pretty good.

You could always do a reverse level and pull your rear blocks. Rear blocks are 1.25". Would look good if you're keeping the oem size tires.

Auto Spring still makes a steel 1.5" spacer. I ran those on my 22 and they were fine. Went to get it aligned and the toe was even still in spec.

Bilteen 1500 adjustable.
I put these on my truck a few months ago, and I’m very pleased. I previously had a 2.5” level on it with the 5.0L, but it wasn’t sitting as level as I wanted. So, I upgraded to the 1500s with upper control arms, and the ride is way better than stock—smooth and exactly what I was looking for.

Did the ride change much from stock? 1.5” sounds about right.

I want to believe you! But I’ve also heard the 5100s ride stiffer than the Fox 2.0s which IMO were very stiff.

Yes. It is a bit stiffer but handles a lot better when going over bumps.

I think that won’t be ideal for me. I use my truck to drive my family around town. Speed bumps and bumpy roads and stuff felt pretty jarring constantly with the Fox. I will say, they were great on the highway. Most of my driving is around town though.

May just want to look at rancho or rough country leveling struts.

so what tires and what tire pressures are you running?

So what attribute is the most important for you. The ride, the height, or the price?

I removed my rear axle blocks and installed 2WD U-bolts and bump stops. The ride actually got smoother and the truck looks and handles great and it cost me ~$100 in parts. I feel anything you do to the factory ride beyond that will result in a less smooth ride especially if you go up.

Interesting. Even with 34.5” E rated tires I still get comments on how smooth my truck rides - and I also have the fox 2.0 kit.

But stock these trucks have too soft of shocks imo. Body roll is off the charts. The Fox kit helped make the ride more enjoyable all around vs factory.

I had Wildpeak AT3W SL load on that truck for most of the time the level was on. I think the pressure was mid 30s.

My man goal is to level the rake out just a bit since I think that makes a pretty dramatic visual improvement. If I can do that and keep a decently soft ride then I’m happy. I don’t mind paying for something nice
