this morning Ford Pass notified me that it was going into deep sleep mode to conserve battery.
Truck is 2 and a half years old 37K miles.

Truck sat since Sunday (4 days) and it's been over 100 every day.
Started up a little while ago voltage was at 11.4v came up to 13.9v after about a minute. Turned off and voltage read 12.2v.
So is this just heat effecting the battery, or time to be looking for a new one?

Found it funny that Ford Pass recommende dI go for a "longer drive" with the A/C off. It's showing 107 on the dash, and longer than what?

Sounds like a battery is in your future very soon

Mine lasted about 2.5 years in my 2021 F150 Powerboost. Charging it didn't help. I did use Forscan after installing the new battery to reset the BMS, and I also made a change to boost the desired State of Chart (SOC) to 90% if I remember right. No problems after I did that, and my truck was doing the same with deep sleep and I was unable to do some of the module updates due to battery warnings.

That battery is suspect. If, after running the truck at idle for at least 10 seconds, the battery voltage isn't up at generator voltage (14.8V), then the battery is weak. It may need a proper out-of vehicle (disconnect battery cables) battery test, then, if it tests good but needs charging, by a full AGM charging cycle out of the truck, which could be followed up by a battery tester out of truck to get an idea of its true condition. This is my crappy H6 factory battery after 10 seconds of engine on at idle:

Ok Chris
What have I missed out on. How do you bring that screen up on your truck?

A VeePeak BT+ OBD bluetooth adapter (cheaper than OBDLink MX+ because I have a mongoose for FORScan & FDRS), OBD Fusion iPhone app, Ford/Lincoln/Mercury add-on PID library and configure screens in CarPlay settings in the app ?

The only thing OBDLink app (slightly cut-down version of OBD Fusion) won't do is CarPlay, but you can use an OBDLink MX+ with OBD Fusion. ?

Thanks for the detailed explanation, I'll have to try this.

My voltage readings come from the screen of my 2M /70CM Ham radio. I've checked it in comaprison to my DM and there consistently within .1v

On the good side Costco sells teh Interstate H7 for $169. But if I can't find it in store the shipping is $50. I normally only use Interstate batteries.
The one in our old 5th wheel lasted 7 years.

it is not clear that changing the SOC parameter does what the name implies and what many people seem to think it does, which is to force the BMS to maintain a higher state of charge on the battery.
If it were that simple, it seems reasonable that Ford would have made that change through an OTA update and saved themselves a raft of bad publicity.
Not saying that Ford got everything just exactly right in the first go around, but it’s blindingly clear that there are many tradeoffs to be made in the charging strategy - and in fact Ford did release an update within the past year that seems to have addressed the charging strategy.
I think I saw some documentation some time ago that that parameter controls the threshold at which the BMS runs the battery through a de-sulfating cycle. If that’s true, then changing that parameter seems like it could impact battery life and/or performance.

THIS issue is directly from the Battery Management System employed by FORD... Disconnecty the little bug on the negative bat post to disable. or keep your battery more often on a charger or maintenance. THEY down sized out Main battery... Another problem.
