My 21 Powerboost was the same way. It was still smoother than the 18 F150 3.5L 10 Speed it replaced though. However, when it transitions from electric to ICE mode, you could always feel it on my truck no matter how carefully I applied the throttle. It wasn't terrible, but it is a downside of...
Just an update after some colder nights with the truck outside. No flat spotting. I've put about 300 miles on them thus far and I'm more than impressed for the price. I think the thing that most surprises me is how smooth they are.
The only downside I'd say is hitting abrupt changes in road...
That is true, but I had a 21 F150 Platinum PB SuperCrew before I bought this 21 F150 XLT Supercab. There isn't much difference in noise between the Platinum and XLT. It surprised me to be honest and I'm very OCD about noises, squeaks, and rattles unfortunately. I honestly don't notice much of...
Fantastic post. It’s funny because I had a 21 Platinum Powerboost and always left the cover open. In my new to me 21 XLT, I didn’t even notice it was missing until I read this thread.
Buy some Krytox GPL 205 grease and apply it to the seals after cleaning all surfaces with some rubbing alcohol. I have a 21 SuperCab. No rattles in the doors and I’m on LT Load E tires.
I know on my 2018 F150 with the pano roof, it had a very annoying rattle. I cleaned the seal completely around the twin panel roof with rubbing alcohol, and then applied Krytox GPL 205 grease around the entire sealing area. I made sure to get the grease all the way to the bottom of the seal so...
Swapped from the 18" Sport wheels, to 18" HDPP wheels with LT275/65/18 Load E Rocky Mountain AT tires. It rides wayyyy better than I expected on an LT tire at 50 PSI. Adjusted with Forscan to correct the speedometer and to set the TPMS to 50 PSI.
I picked up my 2021 F150 about a month ago with less than 6k miles on it. It's a 2WD Sport SuperCab w/ Max Tow, 3.73s, and the 5.0L. I bought it as a Ford CPO and when it got delivered, I noticed the stock Hankook Dynapro HT tires were starting to show some cracks on the sidewalls. I hit up...
Got the TPMS set to 50 PSI and set the tire diameter to 2475 (from 2356). Reset the PCM adaptations in Forscan, cleared on DTCs and it's good to go. Took it out for a 8 mile drive and compared against my GPS. Dead on accurate.
I got a new set of tires installed today at America's Tire. I went with a set of Rocky Mountain All Terrains in LT275/65/18 (Load E) on a set of 2021 F150 HDPP wheels. I paid under $500 for the wheels out the door, and the tires installed were $775.
First impressions, I like the look of the...
Thanks for reminding me. I was paying like $150 a year for my 19 Mercedes S63 and that app was also garbage. I think I even had to pay for my Kia EV6 GT after the first year. So from my experience, you have to pay more often than it being free.
No. I know on iOS, a while back I got an email as part of the EAP with a TestFlight link. Once you click on that link on an iPhone, and you have TestFlight installed, it will add the Ford app to the list of testable apps, and allow installation of the non-production version. You might want to...
Well said. I have to pay $15 a month for my 24 RAV4 Prime to have app connectivity to the car. If it wasn’t a PHEV then I wouldn’t pay for it. The Toyota app is garbage too so it’s frustrating. I like to know the state of charge since I drive it mostly in full EV mode. On my F150 and Ranger...
Don’t beat yourself up. It’s hard to keto track of all this stuff. I almost bought a new Super Duty before finding this truck, so I did my homework. No matter what, all the 10 speeds have issues. Less after MY22.
All good, sir. I actually quite like this XLT. There are only two options this truck doesn't have that I liked in my 2021 F150 besides the 7.2k propower onboard, and that's ventilated seats, and the B&O unleashed system.
Congrats on the new truck. I know when I was waiting and tracking my 24...
Having worked in the automotive industry for almost 30 years, the model is “F150”. I bought another 21 F150 which is the same as my prior F150. I didn’t say I bought the same trim or powertrain. Hopefully that helps clear things up.
A few updates. I was able to get $500 from the selling dealer to put towards a new set of tires. I ordered a used set of 2021+ HDPP 18" wheels from LKQ and received those yesterday. I paid $91 each shipped for three of them, and $157 for the 4th. Not too bad. They're in pretty good...
