  1. Biggest Battery in 25 F150

H8 AGM solved my LSOC issues. Bought the battery blanket from Ford too.
  2. RV camping trip - Lake Morena, CA

Concur with having an electric space heater. Learned that lesson after our first trip when it snowed on us in early April in Pennsylvania. Burned through a lot of propane. Having the electric heater cuts down the propane consumption but it goes without saying you need to have an electric site...
  3. Air Deflector Recall

The dealer inspected mine and said it was good to go: "Vehicle passes recall, wind deflector is secured and is not damaged or missing hardware."
  4. H8 Battery Upgrade Questions

From the Googles: To manually reset the F-150 BMS, turn the ignition to the "on" position without starting the engine. Then, quickly flash the high beams five times, followed by pressing the brake pedal three times. The battery light on the dash should flash three times to confirm the reset is...
  5. H8 Battery Upgrade Questions

I swapped mine to a H8 and only did a BMS reset. I do not have FORSCAN. I haven't had any issues. I did order a larger battery wrap from a link somewhere in this forum.
  6. Air Deflector Recall

Dealer texted me today to bring mine in for recall repair on Thursday.
  7. BSM Cross Traffic Alerts

Last 10 days I get the BSM Cross Traffic not operational three times. Brining it into my local Ford dealer next week. Anyone have experience with this issue? Truck was clean and nothing obstructing the monitors. I have 36K miles and an extended Grainger warranty so I hope it doesn't hurt the...
  8. H6 to H8 battery and battery cable fitment

    1) Swapped to the H8 and haven't had a low state of charge issue again. 2) It fit my 22 Lariat with no issues. 3) Yes I did the BMS reset in the Wally World parking lot. 4) Yes I bought the correct sized battery blanket through a recommendation from this forum but I can't remember where. Get...
  9. Cats stolen…..

The “right” mechanic might install those salvage cats for a cash install. Worked for me on a car of ours years ago.
  10. How did you route wires for rear auxillary lights.

I did about the same as above except I wired directly into the battery and added a timer to turn off with a fuse.
  11. Dome/Courtesy Light Never Works

Did you buy it new? I f used the previous owner may have used FORSCAN and enabled the police silent mode that allows you to toggle on and off all the courtesy lights. I had that done on my truck for when I am camping and don’t want to have my lights ruin the darkness while camping.

  13. What did you do TO your F-150 today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Correct. I was told tapping the existing factory bed lights for a power source would generate BMS errors. This may or may not be an issue. I added an aftermarket delay timer so I would not drain my battery if I forget to turn off my aftermarket bed lights.
  14. What did you do TO your F-150 today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Lights are up in the Diamond Back cover I have on the truck. I ran 12VT wire from the battery back along the frame rails and up behind the drivers side tail light. Not sure if I answered your question correctly or not?
  15. Towing pop up camper compared to travel trailer

Never over 65 MPH. Pretty consistent to what others get towing a travel trailer.
  16. Towing pop up camper compared to travel trailer

I get @ 10 mpg when towing my 5500 lbs camper. Our cabin is 21 feet long. Having your own bathroom is a plus. Get a good foam mattress for great sleep. If you are going to spend time in it recommend not going too small. We camp in Florida for two months each winter and had to go from a 16 ft to...
  17. What did you do TO your F-150 today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

A while back ran 12 VT power and a switch for LED bed lights separately from the factory bed lights. Well camping one night I forgot to turn them off. I did in the morning and did use the truck for a couple days. When it was time to leave the campground I needed a jump to start. To prevent this...
