Mine are set at #4 and have been for 2 years with no sag at all. I did initially set them at #5 but the ride was bit harsh for my taste so I had them dropped one clip setting. BTW, the dealership I purchased from did all the work in both cases.
Ive been running the 285/70 18’s (No Poke)for two years now and they are still pretty quiet and are wearing evenly. My mileage is around 16-17 with a best of 19 on a trip to Minn and back from NC. My truck has the 3.5L so there will be a difference but like others have said, go for it. These...
You've got iron contamination on your paint. Very visible on white vehicles(ask me how I know) Find any of the top rated Iron Removers and follow the directions and that should remove most of what you have on the truck. Don’t allow the product to dry on the surface either. A clay bar will take...
Don’t take this as me being a Debbie downer but, unless your doing significant modifications and upgrades you are basically wasting your money on these things. Ask yourself these questions and base your decision on how you answer them is my best advice.
1. What’s the goal in increasing air...
I use this mostly in between details and use 303 twice a year. Keep in mind with 303 the surface needs to be cleaned prior to applying it with a good interior cleaner or it doesn't last and can look spotty.
Thanks for the info, I think I’ll give it try. I’m adding a 10” sub in a few weeks and maybe this will finally make the system sound like it should. I wish this thing sounds like the Shaker 500 in the GT. I haven’t been really pleased with the sound my upgrades have made so far.
Will these changes work with the Non B&O systems? I’m guessing not since the non system doesn’t have an amp or DSP? Curious since Ive tried several different settings using Forscan and ended up going back to the stock settings. My set up is in my profile if you’re wondering what I have?
No issues on them at all in wet weather and the ride didn’t change when I put them on. Keep in mind my truck is lifted 2.5” and has the Bilsteins on all 4 corners. Tires are quiet also which is a bonus. We drove the truck to Minnesota from Charlotte NC and it rode perfect. Mileage sucked but it...
I’m not thinking trimming the housing is causing your issue, most likely the sensors aim has been altered somewhat. Try changing the clocking of the sensor in its housing and see if that helps. If you look for photos of one at dealers or websites check clocking of yours vs ones sitting...
I think I’d try a good pre rinse with a small pressure washer and then foam it down and let the soap loosen everything up the rinse didn’t get. It’s quicker to wash when half or more of the dirt and grime is rinsed off before you start the bucket step. I’ve personally never been a fan of the...
I replaced my cloth seat covers with leather take offs from a seller on eBay. Not a hard job at all and like someone else said there’s plenty of vids out on doing seats in F-150’s.
My truck has it on all of the doors and it also has the block off plates on all 4 doors. The road noise is cut down pretty significantly in my opinion. Down side is the weight of the doors increases noticeably but I haven’t seen any other adverse affects from that other than it’s easy to slam...
Just a heads up, you can extend those wires with no issues with simple 3 wire 22 stranded wire. The truck won’t know the difference. I soldered mine and shrink wrapped and all is fine two years later. I also have extensions that were part of my front bumper bull bar sitting in my garage if...
Another thing you can try is the following, your head unit may just be locked up.
Press and hold the Seek up and the audio unit Power buttons simultaneously until the screen goes black. Wait for the system reset to complete.
Press the audio unit Power button to switch the system on.
Where is your ground located? Is it at the battery Neg terminal or somewhere on the chassis? If not at the battery I would try to run separate ground wire to the battery and see if your system powers up. Chassis grounds are notorious on aluminum trucks for causing power issues due in part to all...
Does it do this in Sport Mode? If not it could be the truck has learned your particular driving style and has adjusted for it. Sometimes my truck acts like this and a few romps on it and it clears up and runs as it should. I still believe, in spite of all of the chips and processors and the...
