Correct. And if you want to know where you are right now, go to Settings, General, About Sync and look at the version. It will give you some sense of how far off of current you now are.
What is current? I am at 610 now, and I’m going through an APIM update right now myself

23031 is current. One past 22293.
I’m glad I don’t have to go through this more than once today lol. I think this’ll be my last update and then I can do my APIM swap and PMI

I'm downloading an APIM update with the ignition on and engine off, and my truck had a pop-up that said to turn ignition off or start engine to save battery. There was no option to leave the ignition on alone and the truck shut off after about a minute. Is there a way around this for the longer operations? My battery is holding 12.9v or so with the power supply hooked up so I don't think it was triggered by a low state
Anyone know a solution for this?

FDRS looks at both SOC and voltage. If your battery is otherwise healthy, putting your battery on a charger and letting it charge fully before starting a session will take care of SOC. Leaving it on the charger during the session in power supply mode will maintain the voltage.

Am I the only one that disconnects my charger when the vehicle is running? Am I stupid or being overly cautious? I’m not sure it’s necessary, but it makes me feel better
I leave mine connected, it starts and stops based on battery voltage.

W/ the LFP installed there's no need for the charger at all. I wired up the LFP with 18" of 8ga wire to limit the current by means of resistance. As the voltage droops over the entire circuit, ~.5v end up missing at the LFP under that current in a manner where its voltage and resistance end up being low enough to that only 80a of current hit the LFP BMS. The wire gets a little warm which is to be expected, but due to the nature of all variables it's not unsafe. As the voltage droops, the amount of amps the battery needs to charge falls off. The amperage is a function of the voltage so drooping the voltage reduces the amperage without presenting a runaway event.

If for instance the LFP was right at the main power connection where all of the generation means meet, it'd likely be able to eat everything the truck throws at it when it's low. Not sure if the truck would be happy with that. As such the resistance droop method is perfect for current limiting without generating anything other than a slightly warmer wire.

I’ve been sitting here with this for about 20 mins now and it hasn’t progressed at all… did something mess up?

Nope. Spooked me too, when I saw it. Just be patient.

Well I did the apim/TCU combo update and gwm update that got me to what I think is the equivalent of the 2.4.1 OTA and now there is nothing to update in the sw updates tab. I ran a network test but nothing came up. Any ideas on how long I'll have to wait for the next update to populate in fdrs?

Well I just went back and looked at the dialogue boxes. It said not to shut off the ignition unless told to do so, but it never told me to turn it on. Should it be on for this portion? Is it too late to turn it on? The ignition, not the engine

What version of sync does the truck say it has?

Never mind, it literally just popped up with 155 minutes remaining until downloads are done
