ECU module programming guide using FDRS

If they replaced it, perhaps the PMI procedure goofed?

Which module did the PMI procedure result in having a couple of lines missing because the latest update has more lines than the previous AsBuilt would have populated?

Was it the IPMA? And the DTC clears itself after the truck reports to the mothership?

Took my truck into the dealership for the Integrated trailer relay module recall. A couple of months back I did module updates and got Blue Cruise active, unfortunately during the process I lost heated steering wheel and heated and cooled seats functions. Long story short, they replaced the HVAC module trying to fix the steering wheel / seats and this did not correct the issue... that was 8 days ago. Dealer says the dash is in pieces and they are discussing with Ford engineers next moves. Can someone take a look in FDRS at my ViN - 1FTFW1ED6MFB67458 and let me know what the recent history shows? I'm skeptical the dealership is doing much of anything to get to the bottom of the issue.

So sad to see expensive parts changed that have zero chances of fixing the AsBuilt data that is probably the culprit.

The IPC got extra lines for sure. I do t remember the IPMA getting any extra.

2.8.2 went right though.

2.8.3 failed…..I supposed it’ll keep trying. But if not, FDRS I guess.

Wondering if my FORScan changes messed things up…

Just an update. I never got around to reverting my changes, but the update went through this time when it retried it. I now have 2.8.3. So I guess FORScan wasn't the culprit, at least not in my case. The only change I've made though is the cameras in motion.

I ended up using it as an excuse to get a 2-day license and do the updates myself on my truck and a couple others.

Feeling satiated. For now.

My dealer just finished all the software updates for BC and while doing so replaced the IPMA. They completed the alignment procedure but now have a DTC they can't get rid of (U2101). Does anyone know how to resolve this?

...which will never clear even after you install it. There are bugs in that update or in FDRS.

I dont know. Nobody ever mentions the version that is stuck? Mine never stuck so i cant compare

To add to the weirdness, my '21 Job 1 PB shows "ML3P-7P470-AJ". And the GSM update shows as G2174920-4.0. I wish they would have a consistent versioning system.
