I assure you there are codes documented in the 2022 Factory Service Manual that are related to a failure of the APIM or TCU to communicate with the gateway within 300 seconds of the modules booting up.

Ethernet Failure With Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM): No
Sub Type Information
Sets in the GWM when the APIM provisioning data is not received by the
GWM within 300 seconds of both module booting up.

GWM
U2402:00
Ethernet Failure With Telematic Control Unit Module (TCU): No Sub
Type Information
Sets in the GWM when the TCU provisioning data is not received by the
GWM within 300 seconds of both module booting up.

I guess the GWM has to be functioning properly for the codes to set? So ironically, if the GWM is not on the ethernet network it can't host the code?

Anyone do the TCU 16.0 update? I did the otherday and MU5T-14H090-ADC changed to MU5T-14H090-ADG at DID F120. The Update ran fine but the history doesnt show an update was ran. See below from the day i ran the update. I ran the test at 11:15am. Also, The tech is "fdrs1". Thats not my username..lol So i'm not sure if someone else was messing with my vin doing some data harvesting or it is some part of the TCU update. The times and tech just don't make sense..

Unlike CAN which is designed to have a token passed around by a specific number of nodes, ethernet is designed to have things go online and offline all the time. Your home router doesn't trigger an alarm every time your desktop powers down.

Yeah, I get it now. I just had to grab a coffee and think.

My day job is a casino technician so I made a false assumption based on what I’ve been dealing with at work. For example, if I disconnect any ethernet data line here dozens of alarms go off and all connected nodes enter a hard lockup. I assumed vehicle ethernet networks had the same level of redundancy given the amount of DTC codes for everything else.

Would anyone be willing to see what updates I have available? Got 2.8.3 OTA, and updated everything else back in March with FDRS, just wondering what else is waiting and if it's worth the $50 to update.

I'm still waiting for 2.8.3 OTA to be pushed, I was really hoping to let the OTA's do their thing especially since I got 2.8.2 pushed via OTA last week but here we are again just waiting. If nothing happens by mid next week I'm reupping FDRS and diving back in again.

Anyone have any luck finding a competent dealer in the Dallas area to do the BlueCruise update on vehicles affected by stuck OTA? I bought all of the equipment and FDRS license but the TSB 22-2150 module repair procedure failed during the ethernet stage. I've been driving around for 2 weeks with the USB drive in and I'm not seeing any light at the end of the tunnel.

Ever since I manually applied updates since the 1.7.1 CF, I haven't seen an OTA. I thought I saw in this thread someone saying that some people still seem to be on a black list somewhere, is that correct? I figured I would have seen one by now but haven't.

Seems like some folks are getting OTA's, others are not (depending on trim and truck configuration).

Debating if I should re-up my crack subscription or if I should wait a bit longer and let updates queue up.

My dealer just finished all the software updates for BC and while doing so replaced the IPMA. They completed the alignment procedure but now have a DTC they can't get rid of (U2101). Does anyone know how to resolve this?
